I saw several of the Houston Rockets basketball players in a restaurant back in 1994 (thereabouts). We were seated at the next table talking about college exams and eating chicken wings. My friend started seeing girls flocking to their table, and I could only see their reflection in a mirror. I was annoyed, because they were all screaming and squealing, and I thought at the dinner table everyone deserved their privacy. Anyway, Marie (the gal I was with) looked at me. 'Do you know who they are?' She asked. I said 'Yeah, but people should leave them alone so they can eat'. I guess one of them heard our conversation because when they got up to leave, they waved to me as what I perceived as a sign of 'thanks'.

Dawn, you're amazing and have such a huge heart!Thank you so much!I was hoping someone else would do it too!I am thrilled, tytyty for helping we all know what it is like to want an item and not afford to get it wishing everyone luck and Peyton is excited about pulling names out. I'll jump in and do a set too, but the only catch is that I am waiting for my Paypal money to get in (as usual), but if it's there by Monday, I'll donate a pair to this contest as well.

Playfish is a business like any other. The rock bottom truth of it, most of the game providers on FB are turning into money making entities, not just Playfish. But, unlike some games, at least one can still play PS and get the weekly items without having to shell out real money for CC's. Games like Petville have become mostly a cash coin game, and I can't even buy my pet a dress there without having to pay real money for it. (Even though they do give out one or two of their Cash Coins, the dresses cost a good 20-25 coins). But, I think PF has been at least fair about using the Cash Coin items for special thngs or items, and still letting people play without having to pay. Aside from that, if not for those who pay for the extra bells and whistles, then the artists and technicians would not have any reason to go to work. Most games these days do have special items or things that people can buy, which helps them stay in existence. After all, I don't know of too many people who would (outside of volunteering) work for nothing.

Considering that the bear petling is a WWF item and one that I have been waiting for, I will definitely be splurging for the petling. I would rather pay a little extra for it and know I am supporting a good cause like the WWF though, but that's just me. I also love bears more than just about any other animal, so it's a matter of 'I just have to have one' since it is my all time favorite animal we are talking about. -

They need to do this different than with the bear. I am not getting up at six on Monday morning just to see if I can get one. I like the wings, but am not going to deprive myself or my husband of our sleep just to get them. If they make it obnoxiously priced, then it will be like TWS item. People are not made of money, not even the diehard fans.

I'm on a yahoogroup fan list and one of the members (there are only 50 or so...as it's a very small list) joined up and she lives about 20 km from here. That really floored me since it's an English list, with people mostly in the US and only the two of us in Germany. Next time I go to that town, I will probably send her an email and ask if we can meet at Starbucks. The world is indeed a village, and you never know if someone lurking about might be from your corner of the world.
