  1. sweet deal, well deserved for your work me thinks. fair play guys.
  2. sinclair - 2009 mission complete?
  3. haha yeah i have to fight back, remind myself why im here. LOLLLLL in this woodie case, there are 2 minis, 2 gtrs, 2 fords that come along with it. maybe the distribution is different for malaysia?
  4. I went to look for a victim volunteer wheel donor for my GTR custom today, and since I haven't hauled I went hunting too. I blame all the new thunt fords and the malaysian food avatar pictures for my haul today. Here is my wheel donor: Spoiler: Maisto Cadillac XLR Apparently, this model is limited edition. Hmm, please pm me if you want to save this. If not, I will chop it up for the wheels. Okay I can hear you asking already. There you go, here're my POS(es). Spoiler:
  5. LOUSY CUSTOM! USELESS! BUANG JE LA! CUSTOM NASI LEMAK BETTER! Hey, just kidding aye? Your works are pretty good already. You're humble, improving bit by bit. I think they are getting cleaner and your tempo work is pretty impressive. If I had to pick one thing to criticize, it would be that you have to take a longer time to do masking properly so that the paint do not bleed on the panel lines and the lines on both sides are consistent (eg the black line on both sides near the rear view mirror and the lines near the window frames). It is very minor, but every little thing goes a long way. You'd be surprised at how nice it looks if you give it a bit more time masking. Other than that, like I said before, good stuff!
  6. im from johor! haha no worries bro, once i go back ill stuff myself already. no pressure for you to feed me. not another one. i also have problem with you. *goes to go grab the masking tape*
  7. i use the normal putty that you can find in hardware stores in malaysia, since i always used this putty back in malaysia. This putty is soft like blutack/tack-it or plasticine for about two minutes after you knead it. Then i place it over the area i want, with the rough shape. do the shape as close as possible (sometimes this may be even quite far away from the final shape). it will look like one dough over another. ill use the side skirts as example. In my experience, the putty will completely harden in 24 hours. So it is important that you must leave it untouched (no itchy hands and dont drop it either) for at least a day. Then it will be rock solid, but it is also brittle, which means it will break easily. Then i usually use sandpaper and more recently, the sanding stone attachment on my dremel to shape it. Once you have shaped it the first time, it won't be perfect. Take a look at it, see what else is there to be done. If you took out too much putty by sanding, knead another batch of putty and go over the surface again. This process can be long or short, depends on how careful you are when sanding. Just be patient (sometimes i am not), or else you will get extra work and get frustrated easier. Here's the before and after shaping of the front (taken from previous pictures).
  8. WOW! Congrats on the win, a worthy winner.
  9. I have a question! For your clear coat, are you referring to spraying with airbrush or spray cans? The consistency of both are different, if I am not mistaken.
  10. Wooohoo! Superb update, loving the tempo and its so neat! As for me, I have been busy rushing my assignments so progress has been halted. But I have continued on the body work today, and I finally sanded it down to the shape that i want. all the sanding work has been down with the dremel so far. after this i will sand with higher grit sand papers to refine the surface even more. As for the side and rear, there is not so much work on the body as the front. Just some extension.
  11. i LOVE pisang goreng tooo! if the longkang dump is as delicious looking here id eat it no questions! Instructions - Spoiler: Gently apply it across right side of monitor screen roughly 3 inches wide. This ensure you will never get a glimpse of RG's obscene photos whenever viewing this forum. ..Alternatively, as one of appointed mods you can also table a motion in HWCM to permanently ban these images an take stern action against those attempting to break the rule. However knowing the HWCM 'higher ups' are always slow to react on anything maybe one or two greens hauled in down under for each of us would help. All the best! LOL! you crack me up! ahhaha yes if i really cannot stand seeing that kepala ikan i use this as my first option. wow, thanks for all your "support" guys. no stuff from aussie to you! oh yes, everything is too clean here. no taste. yes UPSR ( universiti pondok sikit rendah ) aje...hehe..anyway thanks py for understanding.. @elgee - when you come back here you tell me, let me cook for you not my wife, you'll be 1st person to taste my cook...hahahhaa (apalaaa rasa agaknya aku masak ) LOL @ UPSR. err, can i come to your house and eat your wife's cooking instead? if not, when gathering kat mcd just bring me one pack of nasi kandar cukup la. haha! hey we sometimes gotta lighten up no? hw collecting may be serious business sometimes, but lets not kill it with our overenthusiasm in a negative way.
  12. lets settle this like right here, right now. i have a problem with you, you know. WHY DO YOU PUT DELICIOUS FOOD AS YOUR AVATAR? MAN EVERYTIME I SEE YOUR AVATAR I SUFFER. Imagine, a malaysian. Stuck in australia, with no 24 hour mamak. And to top it off, he logs in online only to see nasi lemak and fish curry tempting, yelling, crying out to him! OH THE PAIN!
  13. believe it or not, i dont have a thunt qombee. does that revoke my membership?
  14. what you should do is just put glue onto where the tabs used to be. i would prefer epoxy glue, since superglue "bleeds" and this will cause it to flow to the tyres. if you do use superglue, use minimal, or cut out a small tab to glue on the base on top of where the tabs used to be. if you dont use hot wheels tyres, like maisto or jada, you will need to make a new tab to be put on top. but not too big, something with enough strength to hold down the tyres will do. remember though, that the tabs are withstanding the load of the whole car. hope this helps!
  15. Ambulance, weeeeeeeeee.........!!!!! OMG I used to have that! I dunno where I misplaced it, now I know.
  16. sweet, looks like the ford hunts are out there to be hunted.
  17. is it a metal base or a plastic base? if it is a plastic base, simple use a penknife to cut the tabs if its a metal base, then oh boy you got work on your hands. you will need a power tool, either a drill (which i do not recommend) or a dremel with a cutter attachment (which i DO recommend). same process as before, drill/cut the tabs holding the wheels down. you can also try purchasing a small handsaw to do the job. it may not get it done cos of the small degree of freedom. Anyway, I have covered it on my blog. You can click HERE
  18. yeah, good piece of advice. i tend to get a bit impatient with things after a while. aye aye, thanks! i will tackle the back soon, but im not doing a JTCC.
  19. thanks! im trying to mould a wide body kit, but its hard to level and smoothen all the surfaces! more work work work.
  20. more bodywork today, the shape is starting to show.
  21. thanks for your support i continued the bodywork today, beginning to shape the tyre flares and front spoiler. i made a slight mistake at the front lip. so i had to reapply the putty again. i also laid the base putty for the side and rear. waiting for the new putty to dry up before starting the shaping again.
