  1. Don't worry m8 I'm looking for a strictly Sunday toy. I want to see how they feel. I reckon it may end up between a Tuono and Speed Triple 1050. No rush
  2. You give up too easily dude http://www.cmcbikes.com/catalog/product/view/id/238472/s/aprilia-tuono-1000-2008/category/4/
  3. Nope. Although a green ZZR1400 would be hard to turn down
  4. Sorry to piss on everyone's strawberries, but it isn't a Suzuki
  5. ....I'm starting the search for a replacement/update for my 1200 Bandit. Seen one I quite like so I'm off out Sunday for a test ride, weather permitting. I know you all like a quiz, so before I post a pic any guesses?
  6. I expect you have to pay a subscription
  7. On a par with the French speed camera one that is.
  8. You're quite right Tony it had been derestricted by some means and was in the red zone to achieve that speed. Conversely it was obviously strong enough to pull stock gearing all the way to the red which most road bikes aren't set up to do. Mind you, ISTR the original Busas were good for 200mph out of the box.
  9. If it was indeed lager it's far better down your shirt than down your neck. Had it been Guinness I may have been more outraged
  10. Christ Dave I'm flying there tomorrow for less than £200 return in fact I sailed one way with the bike & two passengers for less than that all the way to Spain. They know they've got you by the goolies I'm afraid
  11. Some real nuggets there. Thanks for posting
  12. I remember Wil Hartog all right. Didn't he do a monumental stack at Mallory Park? I was at that GP at Silverstone too.
  13. ...for next Wednesday got an overnight job in Douglas. At least last time he broke down he was good enough to do it during practice week for the Manx GP. Ah well, you can't win a coconut every time.....
  14. nooooo........... and I reckon the springers are too long for the head angle. Looks too high at the steering stem. Takes all sorts to make a world I guess......
  15. Welcome back mate and I've got a low miles '98 B12 which I will be selling in the next few months.
  16. but work gets in the bloody way Aye mate as I know only too well! I'd sort of hoped I'd get to Spain before now & have a fizz out in the sunshine on the VFR. No such luck
  17. If the forecast is to be believed look no further than tomorrow mate.
  18. As some of you will know, my Dad's been poorly for a while. Sadly I got the call I didn't want at 4 o'clock this morning-he passed away and is at peace now. Ironically I didn't go up last night as the Marie Curie relief nurses were able to offer us someone. Having driven to Southend & back for work I jumped at the chance to not have to continue up to Barnsley. End of the line for a smashing old man who I'm proud to be able to call dad. RIP Arthur-back with mum sooner than I'd have hoped.
  19. Could have had a Bridgestone front for nowt dude. Your choice-gotta take yer medicine.
  20. Well, I did ride to my dad's tonight and it's not very hot out only way to take my mind off the cold was to go a bit quicker rather enjoyed it mind.
  21. I'd never buy the Sun due to it's shameless sexualisation and exploitation of women. That and the fact it's full of dumbed down nonsense. I'd say it's closer to a comic than a newspaper.
  22. Stayed at home last night, we had a Marie Curie nurse in for dad, no massive work pressures, so I decided to deliver a few shirts I'd done for the Waggon & Horses at Halam (unashamed plug, there's a band on 2nite BTW). Pleasant little journey on the scoot, first time out in I think more than 2 months. And they gave me a coffee & paid me cash so after the recent tribulations this felt like a little holiday. Might go to dad's on the bike tonight.
  23. What size Chad? I've got a couple of Bridgestone 020 fronts 120/70.17 if any use.
