Sorry mate, all the shims I took out are way big so can't help. Have you seen this site? http://www.zoomfactory.co.uk/hotcams-valve-shim-kits.asp The people I got my shims from were motocross suppliers of some sort but I just can't remember who the hell they were. I think they might have been in Ireland IIRC. I'll see if I still have any paper work floating about. -
There used to be a place that sold them sort of to order. You ordered a pack of however many but could specify sizes. Don't remember who it was though You might also want to post the sizes you need on here as I'm pretty sure it's the same diameter shim on my ZZR and I may have some you need after my last service.

I was working in Barwell literally across the road so I stuck my head in the door to see what they might have on offer. Given that they are both Aprilia and Triumph dealers I figured there had to be something, as indeed there was. Couple of nice used S3's, but the sales guy then took me over to the Tuono V4 demo bike and fired it up. People, if this bike goes anything like as good as it looks & sounds, I may have to sell a kidney. I am besotted. They also had a selection of Laverda Jotas in the workshop which they were happy to show me around. A really interesting hour in a dealership which came across as professional but approachable. Best start saving I guess

Jeez Gaz that's extreme. He nicked a bike, he hasn't been caught kiddy fiddling or shot half his neighbourhood. Just because bikes mean a lot to us doesn't alter the fact they're only machines-possessions. Let's keep some perspective. -
I think Chad's referring to the fact that Bandits don't have shims but with his dumbass Tapatalk or whatever it is you can never be sure. -
I could do that m8 but I'm pretty busy for a few weekends. Not a lot to it, there really isn't.

that the 29er alan? Grief no mate, it's about 12 yrs old. Just replaced the bottom bracket over Xmas but not used it since. Do like Specialized though. -

Kappa is decent stuff, not quite Givi but good enough. I think they use the same fittings so you could probably upgrade to Givi when you realise how fab luggage actually is. 52 litre is as big as you'll get without perpetually wheelying. Does upset the handling a bit-my ZZR starts to weave above 135 if I have all three boxes on. -

you have some luck you do As you know better than most m8-did have sort of a bit of good luck this week though. My dad's bungalow was valued at least £20k more than I expected, half of which is mine, so if that proves to be the case I will be looking for a decent bike at some point. Been looking at the Triumph Tiger as well for a general purpose bike to maybe replace the ZZR; just keep looking, keep testing. -

A more accurate description in a great many cases might be slush fund, or even bribery. Yes, corrupt officials cream off massive amounts, and it beggars belief that we are giving money to nuclear powers like Pakistan. Simple fact is this "aid" is used to oil the wheels of business to keep UK firms on the inside with foreign buyers/governments. One might argue that it is an investment in that regard, but that makes it no less disgraceful. -
