Final instalment-my 5 mile trail ride took me past here To here, Los Organos, so named due to their similarity to organ pipes. Good excuse for a ride anyway Off to get my dinner shortly which apparently starts with home made lentil soup. Happily I'm sleeping alone, unless the landlady has a fruity side.

Yeah been a great weekend Dick, the pics don't do it justice. By the time I reach Santander I'll have put 750 miles on the clock, and good miles too. Just waiting for a couple more pics to upload for a final update, then it's a belated siesta for me! The hotel I'm currently in is about 10 miles up this road It's not quite visible in this pic, just off to the right. Very nice landlady and TBH if I won her in a raffle I wouldn't be disappointed.

Hi all, I've got a connection of sorts in my hotel but we're up in the mountains so may not be able to upload pics. Had a blinding ride out yesterday close to Teruel, got to almost 5,000 feet at one point. I did have to cross several miles of virtual dirt track to get to the particular canyon I wanted to visit, resulting in a popped fork seal but well worth it. I'm about 200 miles from Santander at the mo in a liitle place called San Felices. Sail at 9pm tomorrow, so plenty of time to do the scenic route.

Arrived in Spain on Friday to collect the B12. I took it for one last ride yesterday round my favourite places. I didn't bother going to MotoGP as I'm a bit hard up, thought I might spend half the money on twice the fun tomorrow & go into the mountains again. Hard to imagine never feeling that hot air off the motor as I wend my way but I'm off towards Santander Tuesday morning so it is coming to an end. If I get out I'll post some pics. Not sure if I'll have internet after tomorrow but I'm back in Blighty Thursday afternoon. Laters all.

Well in the end I did bring my pooter. Hotel window looks straight out onto the Rhine, which is like the M1! We just watched a container ship go by with close to 100 containers on it there's all sorts going along it. Coal, chemicals-beats queuing on a motorway somewhere I guess. Maybe post a pic or two tonight. Just off to start my training session, still labouring after last night's monster pizza. It was as big as a car wheel man! Laters all

Not with the bike however. Bit of training at Brother's European HQ in Emmerich am Rhein. Fly to Amsterdam, train to Arnhem, meet the Krauts there. I'd have liked to have visited the bridge at Arnhem, doubt there'll be time. My uncle Roy was in that raid, got away by swimming across the Rhine with shrapnel in his leg I may not bother with my pooter so play nicely until I get back

Yep, all ZZRs are stupidly powerful & very comfy. ZZR1400 is easily the best one says my mate Steve who's had them all. However, long, heavy and still puts a good deal of weight on the wrists. Not part of Dave's brief IMHO. Imagine for a moment Dave- your B12 goes down the gym, loses some flabby bits and builds up the tone & muscle where required. Add in stonking brakes and it would be a Z1000SX!

Well, I managed 100 miles or so round Derbyshire last weekend, and 100 miles of motorway today when I went to see my mum in Barnsley Hospital. Overall first impressions are favourable, nice riding position and surprisingly good wind protection. It feels a bit gutless after the ZZR, but the Vtec has a nice little kick and the howl from the airbox at high revs could easily become addictive. Steers and handles nicely, decent fuel consumption, so overall I'm chuffed so far.

So keen was I to get out of that godforsaken hole known as Scotland that I forgot their favourite trick of speed traps in the last few miles before the border and civilisation. Sure enough I've been whacked for £60 & 3 points. Think that puts me on more points than Forest until around Christmas. Nobody's fault but mine as the song goes.........
