    hello

Yeah but I wouldn't like to paint it I passed your way today along the A19 from South Shields
  2. And incredibly it didn't leave a single tyre track
  3. Regulars on this forum know my view of VFRs.
  4. Been meaning to do this quiz but keep forgetting
  5. Dave, you need something along the lines of: Payment is due upon receipt of invoice (or within 7, 14, 30 days or however you see fit) Title to goods and materials does not pass until receipt of satisfactory payment. (this means that you reserve the right to remove materials used if you are not paid) These fu****s put me back into wage slavery despite all this however, because I was too nice to ENFORCE it. I would advise you to write (don't phone or email) requesting immediate payment. I'd advise using signed for post so that they can't deny receiving the letter, and it also gives a slightly more threatening edge to it.
  6. +1. One of my all time favourite boxers. A proper little bulldozer. RIP
  7. Only thing with the V Strom is those stupid panniers. Really weird shape so they look bigger than they really are. Bike is ace though, the seat felt all day comfy to me. Very good two up I'd guess as well.
  8. Agreed. I've had both VFRs and my 02 Vtec certainly isn't the smoothest fuelling at low speed. I will probably do the PAIR valve/flapper mod this winter. Otherwise it's a superior bike to the old one (never thought I'd say that)
  9. Don't know about the big drives, but the Hitachi earned the nickname Deathstar due to it's high premature failure rate. I've had two let me down in the past. I'd never buy one, they came with cheap tower units I bought. I've always gone for Western Digital and they seem tough reliable drives, at least in the lower capacities. Generally quieter than Seagate too, which of course is the other big player.
  10. Yes I'll do them myself Dick. 43mm fork on all Bandits just about. I want to try & get a new chain on it then MoT in the Spring, then I dare say I'll want to keep her
  11. with winter coming I thought I'd start organising to do a bit of work on the Bandit. Just ordered a pair of fork seals from Simply Bearings at a total cost of £11.80 inc postage. Dimensions should be right so I'll post in a week or three if all is OK since that seems to me a good price decent brand of seal so here's hoping.
  12. Such a lovely morning so I decided to ride into work (yes, having to work Sundays at the mo)rather than take the company car. Cool but tolerable, just a pity I had to go in today at all. Mind you when I got home I got the idea the MoT was about due. Sure enough, it expired yesterday so I've got to get the old Kawasaki back out for a bit. Don't want to do the Honda until Spring before I take it to Spain. Anyway, at least I got out.
  13. I went to look at a V Strom last summer (DL1000) bike was a bit tatty but terrific to ride. I'd certainly consider one.
  14. Perhaps the price you pay for getting cheap East Euopean labour doing everything for you? Or is the country completely down the tubes? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-sussex-15595548
  15. Nae bother Dave at least it's keeping the thread at the top of the list. And more fun than most For Sale threads. Hell, I don't care if I don't sell it now
  16. I still think about the story from matlock when you bike was ill Oh yess! Where's the nodding bulldog emoticon? That was pretty special though Dave.
  17. One of my abiding memories of riding through France was on the motorway passing through Reims, when a dinky little chick with a quite superb butt flashed past me on a CBR600. Her heels must have been at least 6". Just thinking about it tightened my leathers for a good few miles.
  18. I'd need to check that Gaz but from memory I think it's 318mm between centres. Don't forget it has the reservoir on the top so you'd need plenty of space in the bike.
  19. Yeah too long Dave-if you did manage to fit it you'd probably have to ride in stilettos
  20. I bought a Busa shock for my Bandit but never fitted it. I think it's too long for a Mk I TBH. It's in good nick & may prove useful on a later model Bandit & maybe elsewhere. IIRC I paid £45 for it so I'd like as near that as I can get.
  21. Yet another yoyo drops himself deep into the brown stuff because he can't help showing everyone else what a bell end he is. This is not rocket science! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-15572769
  22. Personally I stopped using it months ago. A certain amount of cliquiness I felt. Maybe that could have changed now.

    Just the job

Anyone who wears hi vis on a motorbike should be flogged with barbed wire.
  24. Did 43k on a set of plugs without problem gap was over 1mm when I changed them
