  1. I don't think anyone's mentioned Warwick Castle.
  2. and are they easy to set up Alan ? Yes mate, the Belkin connects to the net & pretty much walks you through it. Dead easy whichever you go for though I'd say.
  3. I got a Belkin router for £25 from PC World and it's been great. Maplins will have summat decent I'll be bound, but Ebuyer will be cheapest.
  4. FWIW Dave I had to replace the router Xmas before last, it's not uncommon for them to start getting temperamental with age. Not alone in that I suppose.
  5. Can't you get Virgin down your way mate? It's blindingly quick & extremely stable. Just had a mail from them to tell me they're upping my speed in the summer at no extra cost.
  6. To be fair two of those links cover the same story-someone who drove while disqualified and did not stop, so he had it coming, biker or not.
  7. Yep low charge overnight or you may goose the battery.
  8. I do like the Sprint. I couldn't really afford a decent 1050 so bought a VFR-good enough bike but I am determined to own a Triumph triple sometime.
  9. Dave, use the damn thing, clean it as best you can, and accept it's a pretty old bike which might get slightly more tatty. Once you start putting what might happen to your bike before taking a ride, you're on the slippery slope my friend.
  10. I expect the pikeys had taken all our copper wire.
  11. Know what you mean Dave. My certificate's up for renewal in April I think, and I've not fired a gun for over a year. Even thought about flogging my Beretta, but you might find it less straightforward getting a licence back if you lapse it.
  12. Oh yes-saw him live at Derby Assembly rooms. That fella could play an axe.
  13. Didn't want to hijack the other thread but this is not such a well known F/Mac number which deserves a listen. One comment hits the nail on the head for me with PG & the Mac-"Musical simplicity is so hard - but PG makes it sound simple. Gorgeous." Amen
  14. And of course Peter Green went on to make this with the Mac-the absolute best white blues ever IMHO
  15. john mayalls blues breakers alan? The very same mate, featuring Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Aynsley Dunbar, Mick Fleetwood-the list is endless you got taste m8 My wife likes to think so One of the top tracks from the album (it was a compilation)
  16. john mayalls blues breakers alan? The very same mate, featuring Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Aynsley Dunbar, Mick Fleetwood-the list is endless
  17. World of John Mayall on Decca Records price 19s/11d
  18. A bit more non PC humour from our colonial cousins down under-I think plenty would like this sort of thing here.. GOOD MORNING, WELCOME TO "CENTRELINK" THE AUSTRALIAN SOCIAL SERVICES AND BENEFITS OFFICE' "Press '1' if you speak English." ''Press ''2'' to disconnect until you can." Have a nice day.
  19. It may be the hardest thing you've had to do, but it's also the kindest. Our chocolate lab was only 8 when I had to make the decision on the phone, while the vet kept her under having discovered massive cancer. As I type I'm the tears but it was without doubt the correct thing to do. Chin up mate, you did right.
  20. Yeah I'd missed this one. Seen him race a time or two.
  21. Well with that lid the front guy has to be Phil Read.
  22. I'd planned doing this but I want to go out with wifey for the day before starting the hard slog at work again. Weather looks decent so good on yer mate, enjoy.
  23. Airparks mate. I've used them loads at Heathrow, Birmingham, E Mids and they're well organised and IMHO 100% safe. Just Google Airparks Heathrow.
  24. Happy New Year all. I wish you all a healthy and prosperous 2012.
