  1. ....been off work this week, & I've just got in from a visit to Wallingford, Oxfordshire. So that rounds off my week's mileage on the bike to a bit over 800. It's a long time since I racked up that sort of distance in a week. Most enjoyable
  2. Well I didn't like to say too much on the day........ No new seals yet Stue could prob do with a new one on me butt after all that distance
  3. Not your Bandit Stue as there's no spiral wrap!
  4. Did look at a couple of zzr1200's however this was at a main dealership and they wanted nearly £7000 for an 07 plate with 21000 on the clock. I think you mean 1400s on that plate, and yes they will command a higher price than Busas because they are so superior and will keep their price better.
  5. Right enough mate. Probably better going to someone like Robinson's Foundry who would supply a "proper" Suzuki one.
  6. I bought a ZZR1200 having tested the Blackbird in 2003. I've still got it 60,000+ miles later, been to Europe two up numerous times, love it. Speed, power, comfort, only maybe comes second to the 'Bird on handling, but not by much. And that's the 12-the ZZR1400 outclasses anything you care to mention as a two up hypertourer. My mate's got a 12 and a 14 and he's in no doubt the 1400 is the best bike he's ever had. Get one mate, in green if possible.
  7. Yep good day's work chaps I managed 430 miles by the time I got home, and I was ****ing froze. Anyway, a few of my pics.
  8. I'm up wish I could fancy a bit of brekkie but hey ho. Don't go without me Dave-I have to find that petrol station unaided
  9. Aye just taken the battery charger off & packed my tank bag, looking forward to this
  10. It means tomorrow morning sorry pretentious prat aren't I?
  11. Right, just popped the battery on the Optimiser to be sure of a start, as long as I can get up at the appointed hour I'm in I'll just pack my clear visor & overtrousers and I'm good to go. Hopefully catch up with you all manana por la manana
  12. And very nice too Just be careful on those very new looking tyres
  13. It's just possible I could tag along for at least a part of this if that's OK. Can't really be out until 9-10 but I can find my own way home if need be. Maybe meet you on the M1 L/Forest East services or summat? Am I invited Dave
  14. Bummer! I use that road a fair bit, thanks for the heads up
  15. welcome mate you'll find us a friendly bunch
  16. Oooh, can of worms time but since I was commenting on the service (supply of new items) and not the morals my conscience can remain clear. And I do like these Maxxis

    Hello!!

welcome Tanya. I wouldn't count on guidance from a forum, just more confusion!! I'm sure we will all be happy to offer opinions however

  21. Ordered a set of Maxxis for my VFR at 10 yesterday morning, received them at 3 this afternoon. Big up to DK Motorcycles again for stonking service and a good price. I'll try & get them fitted this week as my first steps in preparation for this summer's tour.

    Hello

welcome mate. Owning a V twin & inline triple I guess you can think outside the box a bit
  23. Buying a Kawasaki is always a Good Thing in my book but did you say the rad needed replacing? If so do your homework as they are often difficult to find on older bikes and they don't come cheap either. Otherwise, enjoy, dude!
  24. you're right Gavlar. In fact, I've had to replace drop links myself after pathetically short periods of time, so may be worth a look as you say Chad. Roll link I think you called it, same thing I'd guess.
