  1. +1 and I'm doubly pissed as it's on my doorstep just too much work to finish before the big bird next Tuesday. Have a cracking time all
  2. You'd only need the first three images for the B/F soz Dave couldn't resist
  3. Aren't we an unimaginative bunch? whatever happened to Bucephalus or Boanerges? Or even Rocinante? Ah well, I'll just stick with the black one or the silver one. At least the wife will know what I'm talking about!
  4. Thought I recognised that village name. I used to do a bit of ferreting close by. looks like a nice little bimble down the Fosse for me. I'll keep it in mind.
  5. Sorry to hear this mate, RIP Scratcher. As you rightly said, you're a long time staring at the coffin lid, so take your chances whenever they come.
  6. Just got back from collecting it. He's also given me an Optimiser, set of love handles few bits & bobs. Bought his Alpinestars leathers for £70 the set, Bike has R & G bobbins, Smartwater, Datatool alarm. Check out how clean the front cylinder head is! Any Viffers will appreciate that. Just need to get it set up how I want it, run it for a few months & check it's OK, then ride it to Spain next Spring Yeehah!!
  7. Kosher-in it's strictest sense it means acceptable to the Jewish religion. Used to describe anything that's honest & OK. What the freemasons call "on the square"- oops better not go there.........
  8. The Smoke is a nickname for the city of London
  9. The internet is a wonderful place is it not? But to me, what motive has Paulius got other than to try & help? Keep in mind this is a fella trying to get something across in a foreign language, he's not posted anything spam like as far as I can see. If I were him I wouldn't go to the police over something as impersonal as this if I were in a foreign land. It's too easy to get ensnared with officialdom and plenty of police don'r have a great attitude to immigrants. He's given a potential lead which others must now act upon, or not, as they see fit.I hope I'm right. Paulius, thanks for your help.
  10. Nice one mate. I hope to be a Viffer once again by the end of the weekend.
  11. I've finally got the green eyed monster under control sufficiently to post without abuse. Nice one robbie, good on yer. Cane the tits off that & as we say, you'll be grinning from tab to earhole.
  12. The Machinist. Christian Bale's finest moment IMHO. Bit grim mind. But if you want iconic I guess you need to look a bit more mainstream. Check out some of the old b&w stuff. Bogart, Bette Davis et al.
  13. That would be a belting rideout BTW. Some good roads around there and of course it's the entrance to the Elan Valley. Not for me as I'm hoping to collect my new to me VFR on Sunday.
  14. Mods may wish to move this. Saw this posted elsewhere & thought it may possibly be of interest to one or two on here. http://www.16vminiclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26326
  15. Some years ago I finished up in a public toilet with my mate Chris & his freshly resprayed Z900. Bloke came in and I think he wondered what he'd stumbled into! I have heard of your sort before, If you was a friend on f/book I would delete you Tell you what Dave-after the ride back from Mallory Park on the back of that Kwak my sphincter was clenched so tight I was safe as houses.
  16. I've been toying with the idea of a couple of nights in Chester which puts me spitting distance from Wales. The tourist areas are so called for good reason-they're the best bits, so I reckon you've got to put up with that, although plenty of minor roads in Snowdonia, round Trawsfynnydd for example. I'd like to just do a nice loop, A55 coast road Conwy to Caernarfon, then inland, Llanberis Pass etc. Could be a good couple of hundred miles to be had.
  17. Some years ago I finished up in a public toilet with my mate Chris & his freshly resprayed Z900. Bloke came in and I think he wondered what he'd stumbled into!
  18. Just bought Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac greatest hits off Play.com for £3.99 posted. Major bargain, can't wait to get it. The old Mac rocked! Edit: sample from his Bluesbreakers days. Best listened to on headphones in a dark room. For old farts everywhere.
  19. Bro in law's got exact same model in a rather groovy burnt orange but he never uses it. Shame really.
  20. A long standing friend of mine in the trade has been trying to get me into his company for some months. Been to see the directors this morning and have been offered a job. Not stonking money, but I will get paid every month, unlike at present when I go from feast to famine but seldom have just enough. Mondeo estate, company credit card, looks a nice steady job, need to go to Germany & possibly China for training, so it looks like start date of August 1st for me.
  21. Judging by the last dealer service I got (Pidcock's Derby) lack of knowledge is no barrier to running a bike shop.
  22. But what are they like in the wet Jack? use my bike for work quite a lot and the Michelins work really well. Haveugot1 recently got a pair of Maxxis but dont think has been used in the wet yet. Not had a problem in my that regard. I always take it easy in the wet anyway as all the crap floats to the top of the road surface & frankly no tyre can help you out on that score. Best to just ease off. Bear in mind this is on a ZZR1200 so on a Bandit (lighter, less power) I think you'd be sound.
  23. A pair of Maxxis Sport Touring mate-DK and others do deals on pairs and they are extremely good value tyres. Coming up to 3k on mine still got half left on the rear, front doesn't look any different.
  24. Bugger knew I should have posted something last night ya got me Dave, my lips are sealed.
