  1. Absolutely the sexiest bike ever built in Japan. I'm green dude! Enjoy.
  2. Good on yer Rose. Maybe we'll see you in Spain this summer if you take it across to France?
  3. It belongs to a friend of mine mate. I'll contact him & get back to you.
  4. I'd have enjoyed that but I have to work all weekend.
  5. Well first impressions are positive. First start up is a drag as ever with these things, and I'm going to give it a week or so before I remove all the bloatware, but v. nice overall. Cool running and quite pretty in a laptop kinda way
  6. I would imagine you mean North Korea mate. I'd take the south over that every time. And I'd imagine there's a string of sub Saharan African countries where they'd flock to Chile or Mexico given the chance? Chad, Nigeria, Rwanda anyone? And that's before I get on to Nottingham!

welcome mate-is that your name or do you have a thing for pommes de terre?
  8. Right up & running on the forum from my little Tonka toy Seems a nice unit.
  9. BTW, returning to your R/R issue, this is a common fault with VFRs. A fair few ppl have made them last longer by fitting extra heat sink material or using a cheap 12v case fan from a PC to aid cooling. As XS1100 pointed out, a lot of the time it's placement that causes trouble. Just a thought.
  10. Jeez Dave they'll be telling you to do your own cooking & washing next.
  11. Nice one Dave, don't worry about the paint, it's only a Suzuki. Only slightly better than lipstick!
  12. No nicer than mine I'm gonna have to sell the old tart. £2,500? He's havin a giraffe
  13. As some of you know, I've got a bit of a rush job on which resulted in me cancelling my hols. Well, what we actually do is contract embroidery. I've got 360 items to do for a company in Great Yarmouth who deal a lot with the energy industry. Out of curiosity I Googled the ship's name we're embroidering. Check this baby out! The Saipem 7000, 2nd biggest crane ship in the world. More here for big machine enthusiasts http://www.tugspotters.com/tugs/SAIPEM%207000.htm
  14. Who was the guy on a red bike who went past eating a bacon sarnie?
  15. As mentioned elsewhere, I've been on the lookout for a netbook to take to Spain or wherever, but the lack of spec always put me off. In PC World on Sunday while waiting for the dragon, and saw a HP 11.6" laptop. http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/hp-pavilion-dm1-3101ea-11-6-laptop-silver-09797963-pdt.html Only 3mm bigger all round than a netbook, but 3Gb RAM and a decent CPU, 320Gb HDD, HDMI output. £349.99 but as a business purchase it actually will cost me £291 with the VAT off. So I ordered one last night, free delivery to my door within 5 days. I'll be all set up for when I do the Pyrenees on the Bandit. Happy days #2
  16. Had to get stuff done or I would have been out yesterday. I've got to work every day now until at least June 3rd. Need to keep up with my other stuff too, so no could do
  17. Got a call late last week for an urgent contract so I've had to forego my planned few days away. But £36 of tickets against nearly £2k of work-no brainer, particularly the way things have been. Already started spending the profit by ordering a nice netbook for my travels, if I ever manage to get away anyway for the first time in a long time I've got work ahead of me. Happy days
  18. Maxxis sport touring-they will exceed your ability and the price difference will get you 2 or 3 tanks of gas to actually go somewhere. PS did I see elsewhere that you had some front end issues today? My ZZR has never steered better than it does with these Maxxis on.
  19. WTF??? In Nottingham today and spotted this. Sure enough they're reduced to building prams. I wonder if they have Isolastic suspension?
  20. Same here. I may have got a bit more as I was also holding the little flyscreen I had on at the time as the wind was blowing it backwards onto the bars. I was racing for the ferry on the way back from the Dutch TT on a very long hotel driveway.
  21. Holy crap! Has it got a suicide shift as well?
  22. Yeah, reliable, sorted, superb finish & build quality. Will keep it's price better than just about any other make that's not American or Bavarian. Oh and goes well too. Give it a miss Rose soz Jax can't agree with any anti Honda sentiments. They rule.
  23. Can't fault you Rose, it's a well rated bike and it's a Honda-enough said. And yes, a fairing. I remember the first time I rode a fully faired "poncey" bike as I thought of them at the time. Revelation. Suddenly 300 miles doesn't seem nearly as scary. You won't be disappointed and that sort of bike will resell all day long.
  24. Fancy a couple of 15" alloys for it Dave? I'm sick of having them hanging around
