Just booked us a flight to Spain back half of July-£46.00 each which seems decent for start of the school hols. Hope I don't have to cancel again because of work, well half of me does could be my last full week out there with the Bandit before the ride home in September. Ahhh.... So I'll have to take a little tour somewhere if only for a night or two.

Well, undeterred by my old Peugeot 406 crapping the bed today, I've simply lowered my sights a bit. Found a nice looking VFR800 V Tec model with FSH & luggage, spoken to the very nice chap who owns it, and hopefully will view at the weekend. Certainly can't afford a Sprint 1050 now but this one looks a decent second choice. He's asking £3,600 so try & work on that a bit. I'll let you know.

OK, I think I've decided how I'm going to get home on my B12. Forget the slog up through France, I can sail from Santander to Plymouth for £136! Nice ride across Spain to Burgos, that leaves 100 miles next day to go the scenic route over the edge of the Picos de Europa into Santander, leave 9pm & arrive Plymouth 4pm next day. Saves about 500 miles of hammer on the bike and prob 2 nights hotel & food in France and I get to see somewhere different. Bonus! Flight out in September £22.99 one way. Looking like a plan.

Close but I'd guess you'd use j'aimerai to say "I'd love/like to". Can't remember the future conditional conjugations but that must be close BTW it's quite common for the French to use third person impersonal verbs instead of we/nous eg on est anglais- literally one is English. I find it easier to work out that way

As I said yesterday, I've been riding the ZZR without MoT for over a fortnight. Took it down today, not to my usual place, and she flew through Although since the tester was a fellow ZZRista I guess I had a head start He did remark on how sweet it sounded for a bike just short of 60k. And then the punchline-his mate's splitting from the wife and has a 2006 ZZR1400 for sale. 5k miles, Electric Blue, sensible extras, £5k. Be still my beating heart! This is approaching affordable to me, so I may have to at least view it sometime soon. Things have certainly started looking up recently.
