  1. Just bought the wife a Tomtom XL Europe, and even she can use it. Just put in her sister's new address in Chesterfield & off she toddled, got there nae bother. However, the mount is a bit sh1t and has packed up after two uses-just falls off the screen. Got to take it back to Halfrauds to see what they have to say about it. As others have said, Tomtom all the way for me unless you're buying bike specific, in which case Garmin may have more to offer. From what I've read though they're a bit of a faff uploading routes?
  2. I passed four dead deer on the way back from Scotland tonight and my mate wouldn't stop to pick one up!
  3. bugger back off to Scotland , haha I'm still in Scotland
  4. Z1000SX in Lime Green. Next!....
  5. Recently gave up my allotment due to lack of time I get out occasionally in winter for a bit of shooting or ferreting, but I seem to usually be under someone's car. I'm unpaid family fleet manager so when it's not one it's the bloody other! And now my neighbour's dropping hints about his brake pads.
  6. Got a weak b/band signal but here I am. Nice rib eye steak and pint of Magners (forgot how great expenses are) so early night & kick off tomorrow. Seen loads of bikes today, mainly Germans, although I don't think this is the nicest part of Scotland. And it's still just about light outside. and I won't be doing any sporran stroking Itchy
  7. OK, I'm offski for a few days work in Scotland, near Aberdeen in fact. It's a factory I used to visit on the bike back in the day (and I was always glad to get off TBH), but I'm being chauffeured by my old workmate Richard so I just have to sleep & take toilet breaks today If I get any internet in the hotel or whatever I've got my netbook so may well be on here a bit. So play nicely children-catch you later.
  8. Technically yes, but in reality......
  9. Thanks all-not the most enjoyable birthday as I've spent 14 hours standing in front of an embroidery machine, just come in. But hey-when I get paid I might treat myself to a Sherbet Dip
  10. Nice one Itchy. I like mediaeval stuff & bikes-that's why I like to go to France. When are we going then Dave? Get your passport sorted & I'll take you on a little tour
  11. Simple answer-just go anyway. If people unilaterally decide to go to Cassington of their own accord on June 27th, freely of their own volition, the responsibilty for control and safety would fall upon the police and local authority.
  12. You dirty ole man! Remember the episode when Albert crimped a pie with his dentures? Classic
  13. I do like a V twin-unless it's American don't stray too far from a petrol station though mate, those things certainly like gas!
  14. Bizarre music for such a grave incident, but there you go I reckon he got too obsessed with the video & forgot to actually drive properly.
  15. Sella Pass in the Dolomites, In fact any road in the Dolomites. Best day's motorbiking I've had.
  16. I used to come on it quite regularly but for different reasons haven't bothered of late. I'll consider myself admonished & try harder in future
  17. Wonder if the NHS organ donor service feel that way too?
  18. I've got to work today unfortunately-with the hirsute loon going from the front this could be an interesting race!
  19. True stue everyone to their own but a general feel sends u in the right direction As I'm always telling the wife. Maxxis mate-cheap and they have more capability than you do
  20. I don't bother any more. They're all arseholes anyway.
  21. I asked about your bike because very many people buy sports tyres for bikes that really won't put them to best use, and I'd suggest a B12 is such a bike. I'd go for the sport touring setup at a fair bit less cost. They work spot on with my ZZR1200 and look like they'll last pretty well too.
  22. Maxxis. What bike are they going on?
  23. I'd guess most on here would be mightily pissed if they were hit by an uninsured driver. This "new" law changes nothing for us law abiding citizens. If our vehicles are taxed ie on the road, they're insured. If not, they're SORNed. What it does do is lay the burden of blame on the driver to be insured. I don't really have a problem with that.
  24. Only cause we subsidize you Pop across the border for your free perscriptions My son's at Cardiff Uni paying £3,250 fees per year. The Taff next to him pays £1,275. So he gets almost two thirds off his debt. And Wales isn't even a country......it's a principlality.
