Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson went camping in the forest. After a good dinner and a bottle of wine, they went to sleep in the tent. Several hours later, Holmes awoke and nudged his faithful friend, Watson. "Look at the sky and tell me what you see." Watson answered: "I see millions and millions of stars." "And what does that tell you?" Watson thought a minute and answered: "Astronomically, that tells me that there are potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, I see that Saturn is in Leo. Chronologically, I deduce that it is approximately three ten AM. Theologically, I see that God is all powerful and that we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically I suspect that we shall have a beautiful day tomorrow." Holmes was quiet for a minute and then said: "Watson, you are an idiot. Someone stole our tent."

nice little bike, they have some small common problems but only usually around 20k miles. head gaskets can go ( look for fine bubbles in the rad cap ) same sorta mileage for a cam chain, if its past these miles then most likely someone has already done them Also clutch basket can be a bit of a fecker at high mileage but replace and all is golden! Cracking bikes, not much power down low ( like most 400's ) but go like stink up top lol

if you got them to get you out of trouble for a bit till you can get some good sticky tyres then you will be fine. Just dont go trying to carve away at twisties.. I have had knobblies in the wet that handle better than them in the dry, i lost count how many times i managed ( riding sensibly ) to get the back tyre to slip out under normal breaking/accelerating and cornering like a learner!! on heavier bikes there ok, but the SV i found them to be pretty DIRE! lol which could be why a lot of them are as new ( with the lines down the tyres ) taken off SV's within the first 100 miles. I kept mine on for about a thousand and no matter how hot it was outside, they would still let go to some extent. The older SV might be heavier so they might behave differently
