  1. Some good progress. Looks like it's coming along well As has already been said, no corner cutting. When it's done it's done. Looing forward to the finished article
  2. I going to have to borrow one as I haven't managed to pick one up yet. But then I will be doing somewhere around 160 miles to get down there. Think that gets me a little dispensation Knowing everyone here though, probably not
  3. It's all been said mate. Did it a few years ago on the Bandit not long after I passed my test. I now ride to my pace and let everyone else disappear if they need to. It's why I need to put some miles on the ZX. Very different to the Bandit and need to get used it
  4. Enjoy the time mate You know England, so you know what to expect with the weather. Have a great one, hope Mrs Nitrous appreciates the time away
  5. Even if you ignore everything else, 63 is still too young. Not my cup of tea, but have to respect the pedigree.
  6. Looks nice. Think there may be a lot of "last minute" bids. Good luck
  7. Unfortunately the VTR has gone so the Bandit stays
  8. that finds it strange that the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons have called themselves that? The company responsible for monitoring breast enlargement operations is called BAAPS
  9. I've have them ready and full of "dirt"
  10. I had one of them, as many did, working through the cars I had in my youth And yes it was a while ago
  11. This sounds like a perfect retirement I think this couple are great
  12. Not sure if anyone has seen this?: Grandparents competing in the Sidecar TT Posted: 16 May 2012 by Visordown News GRANDPARENTS Robin and Annette Daykin have shunned a quiet life content with bus passes to sell their farm so that they can compete in the TT races. Robin, 74, and wife Annettite, 62, sold their croft in Scotland eight years ago to buy an R6-powered sidecar. The Daykins, who have six grandchildren, will take part in the Sidecar TT under the banner of Team Past-It, a name coined after a younger competiter told Mr Daykin that he was too slow. The pair raced in the Sidecar TT as rookies last year, finishing in 27th in the second race with an average speed of 88.803mph. Retirement rekindled the couple's passion for motorbikes, Mrs Daykin told the Daily Mail: "Neither of us wanted a quiet life. This is our time to go out and have fun." They first entered classic races with a Royal Enfield outfit, but soon became bored and upgraded to the 600cc-powered machine. Mr Daykin first competed in sidecar racing at the Manx Grand Prix in 1957 at the age of 20. His return to racing was overshadowed when three years ago he found out he had prostate cancer and within weeks broke his neck in a highspeed crash. He said: "I had a bit of a rough time. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and then I broke my neck in a racing accident in Wales. But despite all the pain, it’s safe to say my fortunes really turned around. 12 weeks later, I had fully recovered from both the prostate cancer and the broken neck."
  13. It's gone now. Guy came to look at it, didn't even take it for a ride out!! Saw it, heard it run and is coming for it tomorrow Shame to see it go, but at least someone else gets the pleasure of riding it And that really is the point of these machines

  17. Looks good mate, even only in outline . Keep the pics coming
  18. There's two things I find strange: “The collision occurred for one reason and one reason only, and that is because the claimant was driving right close to the centre when he accepted that the course should have been a very different one.” Didn't the collision occur because the truck was on the wrong side of the road? the operator appealed, claiming that it was wrong to “impose so high a standard of driving” I thought this was driving within the laws of the road? I could understand this if the bike had been overtaking something and was late getting back into his lane. But if he's on his own side of the lane, why is it his fault? I'm surprised the Riders QC didn't pick up on these and argue them? I suppose it shows the potential downside of accepting part of the responsibility for the accident, but how can it be anywhere near his fault? I wonder if they've said accept partial liability and get a quick settlement? So even if we're hit while on the right side of the road, it's our fault? Only in the f g UK!!!!
