To me it just underlines the perspective of the relations between countries. These guys died in their country trying to make a better life for them. I know the desecration was carried out by the "anti-british" factions, but where's the support for the actions these soldiers took on behalf of others? I just think it's a reason for us to maybe start re-thinking our foreign policy?

Thoughts to all and their families. Seems like it's always someone we know. As Dave says above, life does go on, but the loss always hurts. I know it's cliche, but while they're in our thoughts they're still with us. Sympathies to friends and families. A sad loss, but remember the good times with a smile.

Good to catch up with Stue, Mrs Stue, Day101, Pike (don't know the forum avatar) and Nina. Made a long journey worth the trip and had a very good night ! Thanks to Stue and Mrs Stue for the gifts (made a youngster very happy ). We do have a few pictures (taken by the little one) which I will post once I get the computer and camera to talk to each other .Very pleasant evening that went far too quickly, plenty of and and of course Managed to convince the manager I don't drink, but not sure he was totally convinced . As said above, it's all down to the forum so a big thanks to Dave for the initial message that got me on to here and to everyone who makes the forum a pleasant and enjoyable place to be. Hopefully will see a few more of you during the coming year. Till then Safe
