  1. Hi Mike, nice Bandit! Your examples made for interesting reading. However, I have completed no Advanced training and wouldn't do anyhthing as stupid as you've experienced. I experience even more stupid things that other road users do when i'm out on my push bike - so many people think it's OK to overtake on blind bends and summits! I just think it's genuine common sense that stops people driving like idiots - not advanced training. Sadly, most motorists seem to have neither...
  2. Hello Mellie! If you don't enjoy riding on your own, you're riding the wrong bike! Come along to the rideout on the 18th and ride with us lot!

    Hi There

Hi mate! Good bunch of guys here lol!
  4. I would agree with this also. With the amount of white van men hooning round the corner clipping the central white line, theres no way i would take a left hander near the centre of the road just to 'get the veiw'. There are certain turns that you can't see round regardless of road position aswell (such as ones bordered by hedgerows, etc.). My old man, who's a Police grade 1 pursuit driver, taught me a method of reading the apex of the bend. As you approach a corner, the road will form an 'arrow head'. If the point of that arrowhead is travelling away from you, you are approacing at below the max speed for the corner. If it travels towards you, then slow down. Of course this isn't fool proof either, such as if the bend tightens mid-turn. As with most things, there isn't a 'right or wrong' it's a case of different drums and different drummers.
  5. Half of those were hit because they didn't have any lights on their scooters. Madness!
  6. Would highly reccomend anything made by Asus. I build all my home-brew PCs with Asus motherboards, and my brother has just bought an Asus laptop which is honestly first class. Quick, good quality screen; but with an air of solidly-built quality that you don't get with the more mainstream manufacturers...
  7. Sorry guys, it appears i've been a giant bell-end... I thought Stue was in Leic like Dave. Herefordshire is a hell of a long way from me lol!
  8. Rose do you fancy meeting me on the way from Oxford. Im in Northampton so is on the way lol
  9. Don't look like 'bikers' to me, just look like the usual crop of scooter riding, crosser helmet-wearing chavvy scumbags we seem to have in abundance round here. I don't know what i'd do if someone stole our dog, the price is irrelevant, it's almost like someone kidnapping a member of your family! Hope they're found, the pup is alright and they're brought to justice!
  10. Dunno why being a Suzuki boy but i love the old FZRs! Crack on and take some pictures mate!
  11. Cheers for all the advice everyone! Macie i was looking at Falcos but the insurance is way, way too high! The Daytona isnt a bad shout though, if not a little hard to find one in good nick under £2k. I like the idea of 'physically big' aswell! The Thunderace i was looking at but i have the same problem as with the RFs; there just doesn't seem to be many nice ones about anymore Bloke rode to my work on a TL S today, riding position seemed good, however i could do with a slightly higher seat. Apparently this is easy to acheive with the TL S as the seat is secured by 4 bolts, so its a case of just extending the reach of the lower ones using a small plate! This would give more room for my 37" long legs aswell!

  15. [quote="fr499y"] Josh, the kle with the gpz top end and jetted will do about 125mph.. if i remember correctly that's about the same as a b6 mk1 will do bare in mind its also a parallel twin with a hell lot more grunt, even though its only kicking out 58/59BHP Pfft i'll race ya!
  16. It seems so difficult to find a real nice one though! I like the black with red stripes one - thats a nice design and not too scouse shell-suity like the purple, yellow and silver one lol! Yours looks absolutely mint mate, fancy errm, lending it to me for an indefintie period?
  17. Tbh i really want something with a decent fairing. Sick of being blown about! And the insurance on those is well high, thanks anyways though! Is that a reccomendation or a "dont buy one of those you'll kill yourself" lol?
  18. Hi guys, My insurance is up for renewal in November, and, as i'm off my restriction then also, im looking for something different to hoon about on! Currently been looking at (all with about the same insurance): Suzuki TL 1000 S Suzuki Bandit 1200 S Suzuki RF 900 R What do you fine people think of the selection, and do you have any others to look at? Preferably something with at least a bikini fairing but open to all ideas! Budget under £2,000... Cheers!
  19. Have you tried doing the clamp up a little less? Sometimes the force of the clamp will push the ruber backwards...
  20. If your'e going on the KLE, i can't imagine her CG would have too much trouble keeping up!
