Hi Mike, nice Bandit! Your examples made for interesting reading. However, I have completed no Advanced training and wouldn't do anyhthing as stupid as you've experienced. I experience even more stupid things that other road users do when i'm out on my push bike - so many people think it's OK to overtake on blind bends and summits! I just think it's genuine common sense that stops people driving like idiots - not advanced training. Sadly, most motorists seem to have neither...

I would agree with this also. With the amount of white van men hooning round the corner clipping the central white line, theres no way i would take a left hander near the centre of the road just to 'get the veiw'. There are certain turns that you can't see round regardless of road position aswell (such as ones bordered by hedgerows, etc.). My old man, who's a Police grade 1 pursuit driver, taught me a method of reading the apex of the bend. As you approach a corner, the road will form an 'arrow head'. If the point of that arrowhead is travelling away from you, you are approacing at below the max speed for the corner. If it travels towards you, then slow down. Of course this isn't fool proof either, such as if the bend tightens mid-turn. As with most things, there isn't a 'right or wrong' it's a case of different drums and different drummers.

Would highly reccomend anything made by Asus. I build all my home-brew PCs with Asus motherboards, and my brother has just bought an Asus laptop which is honestly first class. Quick, good quality screen; but with an air of solidly-built quality that you don't get with the more mainstream manufacturers...

Puppy stolen by two bikers, do you know them?
tubthumper replied to Scrambler's topic in The Pub "Tinker and Budget"
Don't look like 'bikers' to me, just look like the usual crop of scooter riding, crosser helmet-wearing chavvy scumbags we seem to have in abundance round here. I don't know what i'd do if someone stole our dog, the price is irrelevant, it's almost like someone kidnapping a member of your family! Hope they're found, the pup is alright and they're brought to justice! -

Cheers for all the advice everyone! Macie i was looking at Falcos but the insurance is way, way too high! The Daytona isnt a bad shout though, if not a little hard to find one in good nick under £2k. I like the idea of 'physically big' aswell! The Thunderace i was looking at but i have the same problem as with the RFs; there just doesn't seem to be many nice ones about anymore Bloke rode to my work on a TL S today, riding position seemed good, however i could do with a slightly higher seat. Apparently this is easy to acheive with the TL S as the seat is secured by 4 bolts, so its a case of just extending the reach of the lower ones using a small plate! This would give more room for my 37" long legs aswell!
