  1. You can't turn a CB1000R motor back into a blade. Whilst Honda claim fireblade heritage, the truth is the motor is from the boring a bat-sh#t CBF1000 and has different castings and internals. Seen them dyno'd as low as 112 and 115hp which means they are less than a 15 year old Bandit with a can. Pretty little bikes but not performance orientated.
  2. Front and rear. Depending on what she fancies.
  3. That's funny, because I've just spent the last two days oiling mine... DECK! my DECK!!! (Before pic)
  4. Bin it and blank it off. Less weight / mess / unwanted junk. It causes the motor to pop and bang on the over run if you have a 4 into 1. The stock system spoils the reading when on the dyno. (We clamp the hose on the dyno) My Busa has the marble in the pipe mod. My GSX1400 has blanking plates. My B-King needs to be done. Shouldn't need to re-map as its only effecting what's bypassing the motor not what it's getting under load. Only there for tree-hugging greenies.
  5. Shame your not closer Dave. I have spare front with a new PR3, would have saved it being off the road. Personally, from what you've said, I'd probably have carried on using it untill the weather changed and it was used less.
  6. In back in Kidderminster for a visit in Jan / Feb 2014, its the height of our Summer here in AU, very hot, humid and steamy, do you think I'll notice a difference ?
  7. Thanks. I was on the road before 6am, Home by mid-day. 3rd week of Spring here, Our temps are in C, but it was about 80 degrees F by lunch time.

  9. Yeah, Me ! How far South / East did you have in mind ? Welcome.
  10. Only just into Spring here. Dry, sunny, 32 degrees C / 90 degrees F here today.
  11. I've had a couple of double bubbles. I find some improvement in protection but nothing amazing. I'd still fit them. I like to ride with my weight forward and close to the tank when the pace is turned up. Being 6 foot I find the stock screen hides the top half of the clocks when I ride hard.
  12. Good figures for the 14. If I'm reading it right that's about 145 ft/lbs of torque? The hp isn't huge by modern standards but that sort or grunt would be very nice to have, might not win races but would make a brilliant road bike! Wish mine had those sort of figures. Nice.
  13. Keep left unless overtaking. Do NOT overtake on the left. Fully support fines for both.
  14. Not 100% sure. Was on a "project bike" someone bought. It's so bad...... I love it ! I'd hang it up just as a conversation piece... LOL
  15. I'd still like a Gen2 Busa, and an Inazuma 1200, and a GSXR1100K/L slingshot, and an 1135EF/EFE, and a 1000/1100 Katana, and......... anything IL4, chain drive, 16v, Suzuki, over 1000cc.
  16. Don't worry about 1 year, That's quite normal. The original B-King was a 2008 model but many (mine) were built ready in 2007. If I bought a 2013 bike I'd expect the original tyres to be 2012. Dont go by the bikes model date, go by its build date, I wouldn't expect tyres to be more than a year before that. Having said that.... Seen several suppliers selling tyres that are a few years old. Would be quite easy to buy a new bike and wear the tyres out and be fitting older tyres than the originals.
  17. Age should be on the side of the tyre. Week and year. I have a couple of old ones on one of mine but you wouldn't know from riding.
  18. I used to love these, was always on my wish list. ...... then I saw a guy with a Denco "King Cobra" H2 Kwak, My 2 stroke desires went to team green.
  19. That's nice!!! I could live without the screen and the cam link lines but I'd be bloody happy to have that in my shed. Very smart. A credit to you.
