If your in the mood for spending money Dave, look what my local shop has in .... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/130639680017 No need to go to a cruiser next Dave, thats what nice upright naked bikes are for. Its nice still to have brakes, suspension and tyres that work... I've ridden a few V-Rods, V-Max, M109's and Rocket111's -
ptolemyx, I agree. We have an area of the city called "The Valley", where all the best bars and clubs are. The glassings, stabbings, fights and the general problems that the police and public have to put up with there, arent caused by folk with tight budgets. Everyone spilling out of the clubs has high class designer clothes, watches, jewlery, aftershave and they go club to club in taxi's !!! The budget drinkers I know sit at home and relax after a days graft to make ends meet.

Bit different out here. We have "Dry area's" up North that you can not be in possesion of Alcohol. Roads or areas in or near some Aboriginal Comunitys. Its illegal to even have 1 tin in the car. Doesnt effect most folk as its really away from the soft city folk on the coast. Closer to home, the building / earthworks trade is a bit rough and ready, and attracts some folk that are too. Totaly illegal, but I know a few folk who always have what they call "travellers" A few beers to drink whilst they are driving home each day !!

Customs arent stupid, and I agree that there's a limit on what you can pass off as gifts or sneak through. We are quite lucky with our tax free $1000/650 pounds limits. Seen folk bring quite a bit of stuff in, dummy invoice with cargo and real one posted seperate and splitting parcels up and keeping each parcel down below the $1000 limit have both been done. Even small values will get customs attention if you bring enough in, some folk import under several family/friends names and addresses so as not to appear as trade. Its a funny world when I can buy stuff and get it delivered to my door here cheaper than if I walked into the shop in the UK... Postage to AU is less than the VAT i no longer have to pay in the UK as its being exported. -

The Sportsmarts I mention before (and posted the link) fit that discription. I push them quits hard and still do a fair distance with a 165hp, 300kg bike and rider combo. Not sure what the price would be like in the UK ? If you say you don't like them that's a perfectly fine answer, tyre are a personal taste item and we all have different tastes Mate. -

Are they the Sportmax Sportsmarts ? Got them on my B-King. I like them. Tyres are a very personal thing, so many variables, Cost, wear, grip, feel, availability, etc, but I'd be very happy to use them again and probably will. I rate them alongside PR3's as my current tyre of choice. No track days, street use ( rare trip to the drags) Lots of mountain / twisty rides, 300kg bike / rider combo, Sporty use, normaly dry not much wet use.
