  3. Cholette, I find this to be an important topic. I believe we have the right to choose what we do with our bodies, but I think the real question is, does God want us to do it. I think that has to be determined on the person and their situation. Is it medically necessary vs just the desire to do it. I have struggled with my weight for a few years now and no matter how much I excercise or watch my food intake I gain. So I have no idea what is going on there but I understand the frustration that comes from comments people make to others about their weight. I agree that some can be controlled by discipline and excercise but I know that will not apply to all. I for one have considered the option of some type of surgery but have made the personal choice not to. Like dreamster I have heard of cases during deliverance ministry where people have shed 30-60 pounds. So I do believe the Lord can help us in quest to loose weight but I believe that for this to happen there can be other factors involved, ie: forgiveness issues, etc. Great subject. One thing to add here is this: Take heart that all are loved by God. He does not care if you are short, fat, skinny, stripped with pink polka dots....you are loved. To him you are perfect just the way you are. The real question is do we love ourselves just the way we are and do we know his love for us never falters because we do not meet mans expectation of how we should look. How boring life would be if we were all the same height, weight, intelligence, etc. God made us different for a reason. God loves us no matter what and I for one hold on to that. Love in Jesus, Connie
  4. I so love it when the Lord encourages us to be who we are. I am an overcomer by the blood of the lamb and word of my testimoney. He is one to do exactly what he did in your dream.....that sounds much like the Jesus I know and love so much! Awesome dream! Thanks for sharing it with us. Love in Jesus, Connie

  7. ~BelovedoftheLord, Forgiveness does not mean that we forget. Ask the Lord to help heal your wounds. Cast your cares on Jesus because he cares for you. Lay it down at the feet of Jesus. Give it to him and ask him to heal the pain and the anger and the frustration. Forgiveness is a decision not a feeling. The feelings are there and that is what we also give to the Lord. The Lord will heal our hurts and our pain....we just need to ask. When I lay down at night after someone has hurt me, I ask for the hurt to be taken from me so that resentment and other things don't set in....the Lord always helps me overcome the hurt. I pray this has been a blessing. Love in Jesus, Connie
  8. ~Chou Chou, First and formemost take it to the Lord. Tell him of the problem and lay it at his feet. 1st Peter 5:7 says: Cast your cares on Jesus because he cares for you. Give it to him and let him take it from there. Next pray every day for your husband. Pray prayers of blessing and at first you won't feel like it but it will come in time. Also forgiveness is key here. Can you forgive him for his actions like Christ forgave us? I know this is difficult believe me. Talk to your husband. Let him know he is important to you. Many couples have issues that come up in thier marriage regarding intimacy. Ask the Lord to give you wisdom about the things to say to him and what not to say to him. Remember that forgiveness is a choice and not a feeling. I will pray for you and your husband this morning. I do understand your frustration. I understand your anger. Giving that to the Lord and asking him to remove those feelings from your heart will help. It does take some time though so be patient. Love in Jesus, Connie
  9. Praise God! Congratulations! I am happy for you! Love in Jesus, Connie
  10. Exactly correct. Saying no to oneself is the hardest. When it comes down to it, it is us who decide on the yes. People ask but we have to learn to say no to ourselves first so we can so no to the request. It is a pleasure to see you growing so much in the Lord. Love in Jesus, Connie
  11. Thanks for the link linda! Love in Jesus, Connie

  15. Good morning Ladies, No the question was more than answered and it is good. I was trying to figure out what seperates a Harold from the rest. From what I understand he has the gift of prophecy but he proclaims it to specific people or country. I also have giftings in other areas and use them quite often but did not understand what a harold was and what the giftings are associated with the harold. A Harold for example would have a prophetic gift and he/she would also have a strong knowledge of the Word and possibly other gifts as well. You Ladies explained it quite well and thanks so much. Love in Jesus, Connie
  16. The Lord gave me this verse some years back....now it is somewhat self explanitory but I am stuck on the Harold thing.....1 Timothy 2:7. Any help is appreciated and thanks. Love in Jesus, Connie
