Tiddly Winks

I had something like that happen some years ago. There was a contest with the bearmaking club and after working my tail off on my entry, the one that won cheated. It really took the fun out of making the bear. We were supposed to use an old pattern from the early 20th century. That is, we had to design the legs of the bear. So, I went to a friend of mine who helped me select the mohair based on how the bears looked back when and she helped me with the dimensions on it. What basically happened was the bears were supposed to be exactly as the pattern depicted except for the missing legs. The woman who won had totally reshaped her bear's head, and then put flowers all over the bear, making it look about as close to dressed as possible without it actually being dressed. The day the judging happened, we had been in a car accident, so we got there rather late, but managed to vote on it. The other people in our group were really upset about this, so we have, over the course of the year been discussing quitting. At any rate, since then, I have not even bothered to get into anymore of their contests. Sad that that sort of stuff also happens with kids. It totally takes all the motivation out of trying to do something creative. I think the handmade stuff is a thousand times better than all that store bought stuff, but that's just me.

we got our tree up yesterday. It looks really nice. Saved ten euros on the deal too. They had used the wrong price on it, but since we caught it, we got it for the price marked. Hehehe. I'm exhausted now, didn't sleep last night, but worked like a dog much of the afternoon.

don't know. I only use the normal computer. My mobile phone is pretty dead at the moment. I tend to forget to charge it, that's how little I actually use it.

Go into your facebook, and under 'account', just click on the box marked 'credits' in your pulldown screen. Then you can select 15, 50 or 100 (with 10 free credits) and then it will tell you the amount. Once you have the credits, go into PS and buy the cash coins with Facebook credits. I have to go eat, but if you need more help, let me know.

I just finished decorating here, did it all by myself (lazy husband...) and now the room looks good. I'm going to take a bubble bath now and relax!!!!!!!!!

my suggestion to those using euros, buy the credits through facebook then buy the CCs that way. I pay about 7,40 for 55 credits. That's a far cry better than what PS is asking.

Lucky hat my rear end. It's not working, I have paid 1400 x 5 just to try and get it, and not one. I am so angry, I feel like PF has taken me for a ride. edit: I finally got one, but spending 7000 coins with the hat to get one really bites.

awww, those are the cutest turkeys I have ever seen.

They really make it hard for the young people who are on a set allowance. With me, I have been seriously budgeting how much I give out. I used to be able to gift CCs to my friends rather frequently, but now I can't. It's no fun feeling like Scrooge, but I have been only buying one of the CC items a week and missing out on the others becasue I have to watch what I spend. I wish we could get gift cards here, that would make my life a lot easier.

Good morning everyone. Just checking in to say hi. Not much planned today except buying Christmas decorations (a fake tree) and eating at Ikea. Love those meatballs.

Ugh, I hate bad fruit.

It's getting to the point where I can't really afford to buy them anymore. I have a husband who is out of work for crying out loud. Scrooges. I did buy some through the credits thing, that is relatively okay. It just depends on how much the credits are going for.

After having been served this sort of meal in real life, I drew my inspiration from the simple elegance of the restaurant where we were at.

I have had a pretty quiet day today. I got up at a reasonable time, which was nice. Tomorrow, I have to get up rather early again. I'll be glad when Sven's school days are over.

I just wanted to thank everyone for the lovely gifts they sent to Tiddly Winks yesterday. I was blown away by all the lovely gifts she received. Everything in the photo was gifted to me. Sadly the two carriages and the Arabian tent didn't fit and Tiddly Winks snagged the kitchen bundle before I could get a picture.

Moved to trading and chat. Hope you can get things fixed soon.

I like them alright. I just wish the paintings and the kitchen room were a little cheaper. I presently can't afford either. Oh well, I guess I should save for Christmas and hope they will be in the shop afterwards. As for the regular coin items, I am set this week. My friends gave me tons of lovely things for my birthday. I'll be setting up the birthday room to display all those lovely gifts.

Thank you everyone for the pictures and the kind words. It's relatively quiet here today. Sven went to the school to do his teaching training and I'm here watching movies and relaxing. In about two hours I will be getting ready to go have lunch with a friend and tonight will take a bunch of snacks to the choir rehearsal. It's been a relatively quiet morning, but it has given me a chance to watch 'The Cat Returns' yet again, and so I am finding that I rather like the solitude. Later things will be picking up.
