  1. I noticed on the profiles that there are spots for thanks sent and received. What is that for and how do I do it? Mine shows that I've received 2 thanks. I have no clue where to see those or if they are even viewable.

Just got back from the concert, it was amazing and I had a major inspiration hit. I am going to apply for music school. I am tired of saying should've would've's. I want to make something of my life and I have always loved singing.

That would be wonderful! Yes, we have to do what will make us happy and follow our dreams!

  3. No, you didn't murder your dog. You made the best choice because of your love for him. You made the best decision, an unselfish decision, even though it is tearing you apart.

And you are wise in not wanting to get a new dog for awhile. You need to heal first. A new dog will be your friend, but it's better to wait until you get over some of your grief so you don't constantly compare the two dogs. A new dog will have its own personality, and if you don't wait, you may have more of a problem bonding with that new dog.

Also, please don't let anyone tell you to not grieve, that it's "only a dog"! You have lost someone in your life that you have loved, and that's not an easy thing. So let yourself cry and grieve for your friend. If you enjoy writing, try journaling about your feelings. My husband lost his best friend, his dog, about a year ago. He wrote letters to his Truman, and says that it really helped. But whatever you decide to do, let yourself grieve!

  4. I would agree with Lisa. It would probably be good to see the doctor. Then at least you would know that there isn't a physical reason for how you're feeling.

I went through a very stressful time about 10 years ago and found that staying very physically active made a big difference. I was able to deal with the stress much better. And there are actually reasons that physical activity helps, although I don't remember anymore how it was explained to me.

Hi, Kokonee! I'm from Portland, too!

Yes, this has defnitely been a different kind of winter for us. We usually get so much rain, but that hasn't happened yet. I don't like the cold at all, yet am thankful that we've missed so much of what other areas are getting. I'm definitely ready for spring!

Hi, SashaGirl! Sent friend request! congratulations

We are also having weird weather - it's sunny!
But it is also below freezing... not like our usual rain.
