  1. Cheers and thanks too Madsod. Who ever bought that bike got a bloody good machine. I kept it clean and tidy but I rode it as well, and quite hard on the odd occasion 27,500 miles on that was nothing. I'm almost getting tearful lol.
  2. I thing dealers like to play on the high mileage thing, although when I px'd my 2002 1200 Bandit last year the dealer still said It was high mileage at 27,500 but still gave me £2000 for it. When I went in for the Z's first service I asked about the Bandit to which he said was only on the shop floor a couple of days before it went. He said they never even had time to prep it, although in my opinion it didn't need any "prepping" Here's a pic after I put it back to standard, taken the night before I traded it.
  3. not a bit , quite a lot I heard. Not as much as the guy on the left who touts himself round biker forums with dodgy avatars
  4. Yep I did hear something about the fella on the right being a big dick
  5. WTF is with all the comments " this forum won't go the same as the bandit forum " I think sometimes people on here forget that a lot of us on here met DUE to that forum. Also you'll find that most of the upsets on there are because of difference of opinions and since they have over 5600 members and there are less than 1000 on here you'll see why. Let's see what it's like on here when the member count reaches similar figures. I joined here because a friend of mine started it and since I no longer own a Suzuki my interest on a bike specific forum weaned as well as me wanting to show my support to a new and fresh forum. I now think its time for a break.
  6. Yeah It's doing the rounds on facebook so I plagiarized it
  7. Cos there tight sods and sum numb nut thought it would look better without them
  8. Sorry I mean frame plugs I bought some cheapo frame plugs from eBay, they didn't do them for the Z so I got the ones for a ZZR1400 to which there were 7 of them so as I only needed 5 I was hoping that at lease some of them would fit and at £3.99 I had nothing to loose. Anyway 3 of them fit which I was happy enough with. As today was such a crappy day I decided to have a play in the man cave and see if I could make the other 2 myself so here's a few pics of my attempts which to be fair I'm pretty happy with. The ones that I made up were originally indicator blanking plugs that I bought for my Bandit but never used so with using the dremmel and a bit of trimming and glueing I made them fit over the rear sub frame bolts. The others are the ones that came in the kit.
  9. I love the TT but Laughlin wins it for me. Forget the Hardly Dangerous's and what your left is one hell of a party with a little bit of eye candy to go with it.
  10. Stick a post on the bandit forum as there's a few isle of man members on there too. In fact post it on every forum your on hopefully it should increase your chances.
  11. Haven't you got some ironing to do Mel
  12. Datatool system 4 on my Z and had the system 3 on my Bandit, never had a problem with either although it's early days on the Z but I don't expect any issues.
  13. OOooo look there's 'ickle ole me Was great meeting you guys.
  14. Oh yes, the best one gotta say, as much as i hate the look of the new zed's, yours in the green looks good Very pretty Thanks
  15. Neither, most of the time I pull up leave it in gear and then put the side stand down. Not the best way I suppose but have always done it since my testing days where it was part of the process after the rolling road. It then just became a habit.
  16. Exactly instead of pistons the size of tea cups you've got pistons the size of buckets
  17. Do I get a prize for coming over to help the poor senile old bugger diagnose his problem.
  18. All the best on the trip home. It was nice meeting you all and hope you had a great time. Don't forget you guys ride on the WRONG side of the road when you get off the ferry
  19. Shame I couldn't make the ride itself but as what was said earlier nice to see some old and new faces when I got to the pub. And Dave as promised I'm not going to say anything about the big red button on your right hand switch gear that's called a kill switch, honest mate my lips are sealed.
