  1. Are you really telling me your husband would rather make you less safe than risk marking a bike? You're having a giraffe right? I think you need to put your foot down with a firm hand girlie
  2. I like them Rose, so long as it doesn't have that ugly fairing on. Might be a bit tall for you? but every test seems to come out impressed with them. Strike me as a bit overpriced but if I wanted a modern take on the naked musclebike, I'd be sniffing round one.
  3. I think it was Henry Cooper in fancy dress standing on a grassy knoll
  4. Interesting that this one pops up a few days after the failure to nail Gaddafi. And they didn't hang about getting rid of the stiff either.
  5. NOTE TO MODS: if this ad is considered unsuitable due to the nature of the goods for sale, please feel free to take it down. OK for sale: BSA Lightning XL carbine air rifle. .22 calibre, as new condition, with Symons 4x9 scope & a few hundred pellets. This little lot cost me over £300 not so long ago, so really would like nearest offer to £200. Also includes a nice camo gunslip. I'll try & get some pics up later if the mods don't strike me down.
  6. Yeah but have you noticed the castors on the tips of the pillion footpegs?
  7. Never mate. Bid the little beast sayonara and move forward. As you say yourself, it's only a machine. No room for sentiment with these things, save that room for the memories.
  8. Nice one mate, just the thing for popping down Tesco's on
  9. There's a right nice fella in Mansfield called Martyn (Martyn's Motorcycles). He's on Chesterfield Road and carries a decent stock. Sorted me a rear caliper for £30, even fitted two new pad pins & a retaining clip before handing it over. PM me if you're interested & I'll try to find his number, although as always I expect Google is your friend.
  10. No mate-unlike me my bike is lucky enough to live there already
  11. Right booked myself & the dragon flights to Spain in a few weeks. Hoping to get a couple of nights in Zaragoza on the bike, see how things are. But I wanted to say, people keep banging on about Ryanair, but I've got 2 return flights to Valencia for £36 all in. That's got to be right ennit?
  12. Think you'll find it's 10 years. The only reason they are not indefinite is the obvious one-your appearance changes over time, like a passport.
  13. I suspect reaching down & grabbing the disc yourself may be better than the old KZ calipers. They'll be just fine, but I know a lot of 7R riders find them a bit high maintenance.
  14. Nice work mate. That said, I think those calipers are same as ZZR1100 & ZX-7R, in which case you can fit Nissins 4 pots from early Blades which are much better. Bandit calipers may also fit.
  15. do you reckon they have really posh sex or do you reckon they go at it like rabbits? Something i've always wondered about the royals Get em up against the wall & shoot em. Then they'd be royally f***ed!!
  16. But Dave, the Windsors are German except for Philip-he's Greek. I had hoped to be out of the country but I'll have to make do with not putting the telly on. Might have a couple of days in Wales on the bike if weather looks OK. TBH I'd rather work.
  17. I'm planning riding my, erm, maroon bandit back from Spain later this year. 10k miles R plate B12. Any good?
  18. Tinted visor Dave-sunglasses + visor screws up your focus, you'll wind up with headache or crossed eyes.
  19. Funnily enough Alan I can remember riding my VFR800 past Boston/Spalding one night without lights-the reg/rec was being a t**t & I was trying to save enough battery to get me home from Yarmouth. Made it in the end, but not my idea of fun Even worse, at the time I didn't know what was wrong (thought it might be the alarm) and it finally expired, stopping the engine at 100mph on the M1 near Luton I'm over in Nottingham, if you ever want a guided tour of the Peak District or WHY let me know.
  20. That may be an accessory lead you're referring to. I've got one on my Kawasaki which is also a convenient point to fit a connector for Optimate or similar. Glad you look like you're sorted.
  21. I'm just about to get the bike out to nip up Matlock- well, Cromford, to get a map I've reserved. Was planning going to Belgium next w/end but I've given up, but I'll have the map anyway. Then got my sister, niece & great nephew down here later for a bit to eat & all that jazz.
  22. And a Catholic one to boot. I do think he had the right idea though ....
