  1. looks nice dick i like it
  2. i know i should, ive got no patience really, looking back at the bandit build i enjoyed doing it but sometimes at the time it just drags you down lol.
  3. so i bought this project for summat to rebuild a kawasaki kz750 h3 1982 engine unknown history but doesnt look like its done many miles but couple of exhaust studs snapped in head, and saw this "rebuilt" one on evil bay. Great i thought save me the bother of rebuilding the one that came in the bike. had a more closer look at the one from ebay 2nite and no 1 bore is seized solid. and would need a rebore/ new sleeve and the cam cap on the exhaust cam has been threaded and scored the cam at the same time. so head and barrel are now scrap back to square one. gonna use the best bits of the engine i bought ie crankcases, but just means more work and more money, might as well put bearings in it if ive gotta swap the crankcases over. ho hum Rant over
  4. let me guess bottom ones? had both my bottom ones taken out, wasnt too bad to be honest. hope it went well lee.
  5. old one must have had a dead cell then ie not holding its charge, i had a brand new one do that once and you could literally watch the volts drop over the hours lol. glad you got it sorted !
  6. had a drive over to bikers world daventry today and got some new leathers. had some akito ones over there but the fit was crap. was gonna get a new helmet when i saw this http://lidsdirect.co.uk/epages/eshop193014.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/eshop193014/Products/11202BLACKFROST/SubProducts/11202BLACKFROST-0002 but decided to keep my caberg for now as i would need to buy a smoked visor and they are an extra £38! my caberg has got a built in visor to cover your eyes. and before anyone asks jacket was £189 trousers £150

  15. she runs! no leaks ,topped up the oil level. ran her up to temp so she was off choke. bit more tappety than im used to but the valve clearances are set right now. koso clock doesnt show revs which i need to sort. :icon_scratch: other than the rear brake need bleeding im good to go
  16. ahem left the drain screw loose on the bottom of the float bowl
  17. well just come back from holiday in wales, was a bit wet but we survived! taxed the bike today and put some fresh fuel in her to fire her up. little problem so far, when i turned the fuel tap to prime fuel started pissing out the bottom of no1 carb, think the float bowl is stuck would that make it leak? dont really wanna take the carbs back off to sort it out, i changed the float bowl screws to stainless allen key ones so if i get stuck i can always wip the float bowl off. just wanna ride her now

  19. bezzer is right only thing i would add is you have to take the front wheel out and take the spindle bolts right out otherwise you cant get at the bottom allen key.
  20. cheers boys will do, im off work for a week now , going to betws-y-coed for a week, some lovely riding roads round there , just wish i could take the bandit. still its nice to get away!
  21. well got my new battery today so charged it up and put it on. put a temporary tank pad on as the carbon one is gonna take ages to make. oh and bad news from stig, he has parted company from his present employer so reservoir is on hold at the mo. might have to buy a cheap nasty one to put on just so i can bleed the back brake up and take he for a spin.
