  1. well technically Windows NT is still alive and kicking. Without it there wouldn't be a Windows at all, NT is the kernal. Windows 7 - NT 6.1 Windows 8 - NT 6.2 Windows 8.1 - NT 6.3 Windows 10 - NT 10
  2. I was going to try and tag along for the ride only, but i'm away in Yorkshire that week!
  3. I don't get why Yamaha can't get the FI Right on their bikes. They seem to run as lean as they possibly can without causing engine damage. The fueling issue can be fixed with a co2 optimizer, or changing the CO levels via the dash. Typical closed loop fueling, no Power commander or other fuel controller can fix it.
  4. Tiger balm, can't beat it for getting rid of pain. The proper stuff, white and stinks to high heaven! but works a treat. Cost ya about £3 give or take for Tiger Balm White. if you search for it, make sure you look for Genuine as well Unless its really bad pain, then go for the red ( extra strong )
  5. Looking at the oil last night, its very very thin... almost looks like they didn't do a oil change at the first service ( wouldn't surprise me ) So I'm going to give it a oil change and see if its any better. I did wonder if the clutch plates were sticking as it doesn't slip, it just seems to stick. Hard to explain without riding it and even then you don't always notice it. Bike will be going back for the bars that's for sure. Been like it for 4,000 miles and said at first service and been back since. Took it somewhere else for them to agree that the bars are indeed, NOT level. I have actually thought about going back to a older Z1000 like i had before, but i know it won't be the same.
  6. TBF my ducati was brill apart from corrosion. But then again, the MT-09 is furred up on bolts already! I don't think the triple has been out long enough for them to iron out problems. Would be nice if Yamaha said yes there is a problem instead of saying they will replace parts if you want them too... If i wanted a thrill as to if i would get home or not, I'd buy a Harley lol
  7. I'm stepping away from Japanese bikes in general i think! Suzuki's are boring! I will probs end up with either a new monster or tuono
  8. No more Yamaha's for me after this one. Nothing but bloody problems! The bars are wonky which look like they are down to the clamps not being level ( means dropping forks to line it all up ) The cam chain rattles like a bastard at 5k rpm that can be heard over a full system without baffle, the rattle is that loud! Now it looks like i have a issue with the clutch. If you rev the bike with the clutch pulled it you can feel the bike jolt, if you cruise just on throttle you can feel the bike jolting ( nothing to do with fueling might i add ) and when its hot, the bastard clutch seems to stick so its slowly releases then just goes! because of this the bike stalled whilst crossing a road! Nearly ended up with me under it. I know there a new bike/engine but surely when mentioning issues, Yamaha shouldn't say *Well we haven't heard any problems with this that or another, but we will swap it for a IMPROVED version of *enter part here* But we can't say it won't happen 1000 miles later* The MT-03 had issues with cutting out and TPS problems. I'm going back to a Italian bike next time round ( but not use it all year round ) // *Rant over*
  9. we had the same thing happen every damn year at our old house. Cat used to destroy the nest and was forever finding dead babies on the floor. Rescued one last year though
  10. Known as a dark sider! one who rides bike with car tyre..
  11. feck knows how. One of those things, suffer with one allergy and sooner or later more follow. Hay fever, eczema on my hands and that on my eye lol.
  12. spotted this old classic porker on the way home today! Well say porker, its a replica with a VW Engine
  13. im the same, effects my eyelid ( one not both ) pain in the fecking ass!
  14. from what i've heard, many coders used if(version.StartsWith("Windows 9")) when coding which would determine if the user was on windows 95 or 98. They recon this would of caused issues if windows 9 was released ( i personally don't believe it ). Legacy code and all that shiz!
  15. tried and tested. Basically its the best of 7 and best of 8 combined. You still have the metro apps but on the side of the standard windows 7 start bar. Its quicker than windows 7, sadly is flat like windows 8 and still doesn't shut down when you press shutdown ( goes into a strange state of hibination! hence why its so fast at booting up ) Best bit is its free upgrade for the first year, even if you are using non genuine windows 7. Depending on what version of windows 7 you currently have ( or windows 8 ) depends on which version of windows 10 you end up with. Its not that they are not happy with windows 7 users, its just they are given more people the chance to upgrade to windows 10 without paying. Also a good way to get the disappointed users who didn't want windows 8 to still get a new operating system If anything, windows 10 is more like windows 7 than windows 8 would ever be!
  16. Went fishing again today was trying out some ultra light tackle. 5'3" micro rod with a mini reel! 2 carp out on it within half an hour of setting up! That little thing, caught a couple of these! this one was the smaller of the two
  17. they are a bit of a gimmick tbf!! mind you, bet watching racing will be an awesome experience lol
  18. thats the one with two R1 crossplane heads right?
  19. yup, gen 1 used tokico 6 pots were as gen 2 were nissin radials
  20. Notice most of the drag bikes are the same now? Busa's with turbos and/or NOS. For me, they have killed the drag strip for bikes! I liked seeing the old oil burners 1100's, 2-stroke triples etc and being completely shocked by them! Now you kind of know what to expect when you see a busa pull up at the start line. Cracking pics Dave
  21. Ofcourse! Camera isn't in the place i would choose but thanks to the fat bars ( pretty low too ) the only place i can bolt it and keep it still is by the clutch perch. Pretty hidden from view, yet still records most of the view ahead/sides
  22. Had the pleasures of this twonk doing a U-turn in the middle of the road whilst on her phone....
