They truly are awesome bikes, If i didn't have all the issues with my 950SM i would of kept it. Bags of poke, torque that never seems to fade etc. Now get some cans! -

I've been running the Supermaxx Sport on my MT-09, front tyre looks like new, back is starting to wear down a bit now. Grip surprisingly well even in the wet! Over 3000 miles on them now as well -
If its round and black and doesn't slide, its good enough for me! but my favourites for an all round tyre are the Avon Storm 2 Ultra Sportsmarts are a good tyre but don't seem to last long!

Gave the shit bucket a clean, not much rust on it for a 94!. Checked a few things on it and looks like the carb needs looking at as it runs rich when you first start it ( sticking float or blocked jet is my guess ) end can has no packing and the baffle has a snapped screw holding it in! -

I love seeing people drive with coilovers, lowered too much and the added bonus of shit loads of camber.. A few around here are taken way too far. Heads bobbing everytime they go over a rough bit of road, 5mph top speed over bumps, screaching tires going around a 'barely a corner' funny to watch! -
Took the old shit bucket for a ride to find out if there are any issues i need to fix in time for winter So far so good!! 100 miles and nothing fell off

Yeah, I think people expected more from it as it looks more like the motoGP bike compared to others. The new R1 is hard to beat for price and performance, won't match the H2 but that's in a world of its own ( price, insurance and the need for a tracker! )

Don't do it unless its the 1250. My 950 was the biggest pile of shit I've owned, spent more time in the garage than on the road. I must of spent 3 out of 5 days broken down at the side of the road doing a 20 mile trip from work!

Update post 9 months later and the Bosch Gigalight Plus 120 is toast! Low beam went as of today. Roughly 8000 miles on the bulb. Not too bad for an average price bulb.. but it's not, its £25. Elite Xenon Rainbow H4 has been fitted again but in a different style headlight housing. Low beam High beam Front view - Low beam Note: adjusted the contrast on camera so i could pick up the colour/throw of the light. Side lights are pure white not blue!

Need to rant.. f g bellend on a Z1000 on way home... riding like a t**t, overtaking cars in a 30 at double the speed, overtaking on blind corners etc etc... Just because I'm on a loud bike, doesn't mean I want a f****ng race.. pulling over to let someone go past, in my eyes is not a sign of the start of a race... Yes i enjoy the acceleration of my bike, who doesn't? But its not a sign that I want to f g race you....
