  1. Thanks Dave , it's doing my head you would think there would be lodes out there what with the rise of super Moto bikes
  2. Hello all, As I sit here watching the rain running down the window with one eye on the Best Bike Battles from the last race of 1988 500 Grand Prix from Brazil, with Eddie, Wayne and Kevin doing battle as only they know how. I have been doing some searching for some spoke wheel weight for my Triumph Bonneville T100 2003. As I have just had the wheels rebuild I would like to scrap the stick on weights and put the spoke style ones on however; after much surfing I have found know one that sells them on the net. I did nip in to my local motorcycle tyre dealer however; he did not have any either. Hurmph! So do any of you guys/ gals know where I can get some from I am after some chrome ones that have grub screw in them if I can get them I will go for the led ones if I have to.
  3. Damn right one of my mates has an older CBR 600f he keep's with me most of the time when I'm on the BM K12s
  4. George Papandreou, Silvio Berlusconi and José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero walk into a bar and order a round of drinks who pays? Angela Merkel!
  5. It is a slow day in a little Greek Village. The rain is beating down and the streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit. On this particular day a rich German tourist is driving through the village, stops at the local hotel and lays a €100 note on the desk, telling the hotel owner he wants to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one to spend the night. The owner gives him a key and, as soon as the visitor has walked upstairs, the hotelier grabs the €100 note and runs next door to pay his debt to the butcher. The butcher takes the €100 note and runs down the street to repay his debt to the pig farmer. The pig farmer takes the €100 note and heads off to pay his bill at the supplier of feed and fuel. The guy at the Farmers' Co-op takes the €100 note and runs to pay his drinks bill at the taverna. The tavern owner slips the money along to the local prostitute drinking at the bar, who has also been facing hard times and has had to offer him "services" on credit. The hooker then rushes to the hotel and pays off her room bill to the hotel owner with the €100 note. The hotel proprietor then places the €100 note back on the counter so the rich traveller will not suspect anything. At that moment the traveller comes down the stairs, picks up the €100 note, states that the rooms are not satisfactory, pockets the money, and leaves town. No one produced anything. No one earned anything. However, the whole village is now out of debt and looking to the future with a lot more optimism. And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is how the bailout package works.
  6. Want it all? You're not alone; plenty of people overlook the CBR600f in favour of its racy stable-mate, the newer 'double-R' CBR600RR. The truth is most of us would be better off with the 'F', even if it is a little less glamorous. It's a totally practical bike but it'll still put near to 160mph on the clock Honda's 2001 CBR600F is probably the most versatile, most rewarding and most honest modern middleweight machine you can buy. With its genuine pillion comfort, HISS ignition-based immobiliser, famed Honda build quality and a centre stand you've got the blend of practicality and performance all-but missing from today's 600s. This one I have for sale, it’s a very nice clean example. Having serviced it and along with changing the oil and oil filter, I decided to pop in a power air filter at the same time along with putting a new rear tyre and a new battery on it. It passed its MOT on 29/10/2011 with no issues at all, so all you need to do is ride it away and enjoy. The bike itself runs and rides superbly, I was very much suppressed with the performance and handling bringing it back from the MOT station. Looking through the old MOT’s the last owner had had it from new and it looks like he did most of the mileage in the first few years and then just fell out of love with the bike. God knows why! All old MOT’s, both keys and the V5 along with the service book are with the bike, the service book shows a bit of a patchy service history however; it does look like the bike was well looked after. There are the inevitable tiny chips on the front of the fairing and one on the tank “see photo” but the bike is in very good condition. • New Rear Tyre • New Battery • New Oil and Filter • New Power Air Filter • Chain and sprockets have only done about 600 miles • MOT’d 29/10/2011 • Old MOT’s • V5 • Both Keys • Only 1 Owner from new • Service book “some history” • Very tidy example More information at: http://hondacbr4sale.webs.com/ Or contact me on gazrx12@yahoo.co.uk or Tel:07530524140 Gaz

  11. Bucephalus Why well it all started some time back around the 20th or 21 July 356 when Alexander the Great was bourn, some time later at a Horse fair his Father Phillip II gave a horse to the young Alexander now 13, who had managed to tame the horse that others had said was untameable. As we know Alexander the Great when onto to rule over most of what is now Europe and Asia Minor. So why Bucephalus well that was the name of Alexander’s horse, which transported him from home in Greece to what was then the furthers any Greek had been know to travel, the horse did die in a great battle, something I hope does not befall my BMW Ok so I have summarises the facts somewhat but it’s a story that has interested me from a small child. 12. Well after 16 months contracting I’ll be looking for a new job when I get back from France at the end of July. The contract was orangey only 8 months so I am quite happy. I keep thinking I would like to get out of the IT game and do something else like Motorcycle Instructor but I am not sure that there is much money in it and would pottering a long behind a 125 at 27mph do my head in , not that I get paid loads or that IT is all sexy girls and Champaign! It’s more like an unfunny version of the IT crowd But with more Moss’s E.goldstein “they watching you”!

  15. I went down to pick up the wheels I won on Ebay yesterday, good news they back tyre has well over 5mm on it and it’s a BT021 sports touring tyre so that’ll go in for the trip down to France. The front wheel is out of either and K12r or K12gt but it’s the same width just different spoke design the tyre has about 2.5mm on it. Had a great day out down to Weymouth just wished I could have gone on the bike, did some good roads on the way back across Salisbury Plain in the car. The beware Tanks signs still make me smile. 16. Motherf ers I know how distressing it can be to have a bike stolen by people that cannot be bothered to get up and do an honest days work to earn money to get things. Keep you your eyes on Ebay for the trick parts and breakers for the rest! Good luck E.goldstein “they watching you”!
  17. Yep I think I have done quite well out of it, time will tell once I have collected them. It’ll be nice having a spare set of wheels with sticky tyres and one with touring tyres and as I have a full set of ABBA stands I can do a wheel change in about half an hour…… Ok an hour with a tea and a beer! 22. A FIRE has gutted the 54,000sqft warehouse of M&P Motorcycles in Gorseinon, Swansea. The fire was reported to the authorities at 23:30 on Saturday 25th June and by midnight, eyewitnesses said that almost three-quarters of the building was ablaze. Steve Bryant from Mid West Wales Fire and Rescue said the fire developed very quickly and required the services to work throughout the night to ensure that the fire didn't move to a furniture warehouse next door. Thankfully, no-one was injured in the blaze. The fire is only a couple of miles away from the old Mettoys factory in Fforessfatch which caught fire on the 16th of June, burning thousands of tyres. It is still burning today. An investigation is being launched into the fire at M&P Motorcycles, meanwhile M&P have closed their website and Busters, another motorcycle mail-order company, have also closed their website as they share the same warehouse as M&P. Had to go down to HQ in London the other day for a meeting so, put my best suite and tie on got my notes together all printed off and a copy on my memory stick, the meeting went well even finished early. So off to St Pancreas to get the train home, as I arrived I had 45 minutes to kill so got a coffee and a packet of six Bourbon biscuit’s. It was very busy in the coffee shop there was only one seat left some suite sat at the table reading the Guardian, so I sat down as quietly as I could got my book out and popped in my earplugs and put some music on. Quick slurp of coffee, just as I’m getting chilled out a hand comes round from behind the Guardian and takes a biscuit out of the packet! What the Feck, ok calm down you are in your best suite and what would you say anyway! Ok he’s had a biscuit so what I’ll be putting in is a claim for them and the coffee so I have not lost anything. Right I’ll have one, humm munch, munch, munch, slurp read, read munch, munch, slurp! Owww that hit the spot! Bit more reading crank up the tunes, bit more coffee, hang on a second there were six biscuit, that bloke nicked one and I’ve had one so how come there are only three left? That bloke just had another one. Right I really should say something he’s taking the piss now. Hang on just think what are you going to say now he’s already had one and lets face it being English there is no way I can speak out not now. Right ok I’ll have another biscuit, after all I did miss lunch and breakfast plus I was on the train at 6:30am so stuff it I’m having another one, munch, munch, munch, slurp read, read munch, munch, slurp ooh they are good, now I know why I got a six pack humm. He’s just taken the last but one!! Ok two can play at that game I’m having the last one, humm munch, munch, munch, slurp read, read munch, munch, slurp, munch a-up down to the last few slurps of coffee. Ooh that’s my train being called earplugs out and grab my paperwork. Ok on the train got a good a seat, what’s this in my jacket pocket, were did this packet of Bourbon biscuit’s come from!
