Deciding how far over to go is all about confidence and feed back the only way you can tell is to relax your grip and soften you elbows and shoulders and feel what is going on with the front and back. Pick a smooth bit of road “if you can find one” and do the same set of bends each time but just lean the bike over a bit more. See how it feel try and put the power on at the same point slowly Not a big hand full! Slowly increase the amount of power once you have found a happy lean angle. put more power on at the same lean angle As for reading a tyre if you look about half way in from the edge to the center, if your tyre looks a bit ruffed up then you putting power into the tyre when lend over. If you a netter or have very soft tyre and a lot of power then you can leave darkeys on the road, not sure which one I am but I have been know to leave darkeys two up out of islands. And I wander why my ribs hurt! If you push the front tyre you will see much like the back it’ll get ruffed up. I do push the front quit a bit is not a good habit but on the BM K12s I don’t get a lot of feed back from the front so I seem to over compensate by pushing when I am riding hard. Grip levels change if you change the tyre pressure the grip will either come back or go away, old tyre E.G worn tyre give out less grip, if you have ridden a set of tyre from new to worn you’ll know about the change in grip. Soz waffled on a bit but in conclusion look as the surface of the tyre and think what force’s are at work on the tyre and road. Good tip I all ways look at other bikers tyre you know the one's that do track dayz strait the way the surface of the tyre is all torn and rolled up and a bit melted QED the tyre has been over worked! Some of you may be aware that the lovely new Coalition Government have given us all an extra day off work to celebrate two people, that I’ll never meet, getting married. I don’t know about you but watching two people getting married that I don’t know is a bit like going down to the local church and hiding behind a grave stone in a church yard and stalking random couples, if there was as much coverage of the consummation I may watch that. As we have been given this free day off , I feel it’s our right nay duty to go out and enjoy ourselves so, to this end I have decided to go out on the for the day and do some miles. Hopefully in the sunshine! My plan is to go to Aberystwyth and have Fish & Chips, I guess in a way it’s my attempt to be a bit patriotic and celebrate the next generation of our Royal Family. I’ll be at Hein Gerick Aylston Road at 8:45am and be heading off at 9:00am for Aberystwyth with a stop in Worcester for coffee and fuel, a few hours mooching about and then head back possibly via the A49 and then Hereford, so we can do the Hereford to Worcester road. Q: Are these kits easy to fit? A: Yes if you are ok taking carbs to bits. Q: How long do I put aside for the fitting? (am I looking at a whole day) A: depends on how long it takes you to get the carbs off, the last bike I did was a CBR 600f it took me about 4 hours with tea breaks! Q: Will I need to get a garage to tune/do anything after the kit has been installed? (I was going to carbtune myself anyway) A: I would suggest a trip to your local dyno place and have a chat with them but yes is the answer. They may put the kit in for you. You’ll possibly need a couple of hours, depending how good you are at setting up carbs in the first place. I have done it all on the road but it’s a long boring job and how are you going to do a flat run in top and still do a plug chop! “A Plug chop (go full throttle and then kill the engine and pull the clutch in to see how lean or rich the engine is running)” Q: Am I looking at a great MPG decrease? A: Errrr YES! More air more fuel more cost! Q: I’ve seen them for £106 is this a good price? A: Don’t know shop around! But sounds about right. Q: Is there anything else I should consider when going through this? (+5° timing advancer?) A: I did put a +5% on a ZRX1200s I did not feel any difference at all but the dyno did show a better curve over all. Ok how far do you want to go with the tuning Hot Cam’s, Skimmed head, ported and polished head, Titanium Valves and springs, big bore, Turbo, Noz,? E.goldstein “they watching you”!

I have done France and back maey times the only issue I have ever had is when they just give you a bit of crappy rope and point at the tie down hooks on the deck! Or the rusty pipe smilinjack’s is on about! Most times in the last few years I have been lucky and had a proper bike slot, it looks like a bike trailer without wheels it has a V in it once your wheels are in a strap is all most unneeded, but still take one of them, I always tie my own bike down in gear and on the side stand “not that I have a centre stand”. Right bags packed of the Ludlow for five days R&R and to celebrate our 25th year of knowing one anther. I may regret going in the car but not long before I have 4 days in Devon and Cornwall with my best mate Chris for our annual Boys on bikes “it’s not quite a gay as it sounds” Honest! Thankful today she was not at work due to the fact that she’s having an affair with someone at one of the other sites; he must be either high on drugs or as deranged as she is. Having spoken to him I’m going for the latter”! After two months of constant IMing one another they are looking for a house to rent, so they can play happy families. PS this is the second husband she’s dumping however; the consensus in the office is that husband two has no idea what’s going on. Not to sure what happened to Husband one I think he may be under some patio! I did consider sending what is going on in her life to the sops but they would never believe it, along with the annoying stuff in the past four months she’s had three car crashes, call the office twice to ask for direction on her way to work as she’s got lost, PS she only live 20 mile for the office she’s been working in for three years! Call my personal mobile at 2am to ask for a recipe I happened to be talking about to my boss about. Good job I switch it off when I go to bed, I think Rach would have done her nut! Trust me she knows she’s annoying, everyone keeps telling her! But you see, she is just very VERY insecure !! So she need’s to be the centre of attention at all times it’s like having a 5 year old in the room . I just need to let off steam in written form and have a bit of a giggle. That’s fairly good I got 1400 miles out of a set of Metzeler tyres sprttec's on my old ZRX 1200s I get about 2500 to 3000 miles out of a set of Michelin Pilot Powers 2CT but about 5000 to 6000 out of Michelin Pilot Road 2CTs the Pilot Powers give much better grip and do leave nice black lines when pushed hard! I use the Michelin Pilot Powers 2CT for fun and the Michelin Pilot Road 2CTs for touring on the BMW E.goldstein “they watching you”!

Right then I am just about at the end of my patience with possibly the most annoying person I have every worked with. Just to explain I work in a very quiet office where typing on your keyboard sounds loud and there is no background noise of any kind. I have been here just over a year contracting and I get on with everyone however; there is one person that is just starting to get right on my nerves. She not only bursts into song for no apparent reason but get’s the words wrong and could not hold a note if her life depended on it! As if this was not enough she now seems to have discovered a way to assign a different tone to each key on her mobile so when she is texting it sounds like Rolf Harris having a fit on a Stylaphone! To top it all off she cannot sit still for more than two minutes, this would not be a problem if it was not for the fact that she wears big clunky cheap bangles, so when she does get round to doing some work you get a constant cacophony which makes it sound like Jimmy Seville’s fat, thick, mental sister having some sort of psychotic episode! So in between the texting, singing, making sucking noise, clicking her tongue tapping on the desk with her cheap plastic nails, reading Emails out loud but only from the bosses like she is the only one that has them, saying each word as she is typing as if the computer will type it for her and using the phone on speaker phone to call service desks which she knows have annoying cheap crappy music, she can get really annoying! Yep need to get the BM serviced and then off the first weekend in June to Devon and Cornwall for four day biking with my mate Chris. I could do with doing a few all day trips be for then. E.goldstein “they watching you”!
