Tile drilling ARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!
E.goldstein replied to E.goldstein's topic in The Pub "Tinker and Budget"
First of all thanks all, I was a bit stressed yesterday so sorry for the rant! Thanks for the offer Dave, the tiles are big tiles 600mm by 300mm and about 7mm thick, funnily enough cutting them was a pain as well I ended up using my 9” diamond tipped angle grinder to cut them to size. The box says that they are ceramic wall tiles! Still they are from Italy so how knows. Thanks to XS1100, I’ll be off up to Topps tiles later to get two of the drill bits, I have tried normal masonry bits but they are just not up to the job. I’ll let you all know how I get on. Right then I am very off, I need to drill 8 more holes into the tiled wall in my newly tiled downstairs bathroom walls. Just to give you some idea I have just spent 4 hours drilling 12 holes and done 3 drill bits! So what I’m after is some sort of way to drill a 5.5mm hole into ceramic tiles but each of the so called ceramic drill bits cut about 3 holes then they are blunt, this despite spraying water on the drill bit. I have a set of core drill bits which are diamond/ Zirconium tipped they wiz though the tiles but all the hardened tipped bits are just 5h!t “with a capital S” So HELP! Any of you out there a tiler or know how the hell I get on. PS been on Google but not much help. Sorry rant over E.Goldsiten “They are watching you”

Job hunting and this site just about are ok bar the fact the internet go out to the US HQ first so as soon as the yanks are in the internet runs like dial-up! E.goldstein “they watching you”!

Sorry to hear this news, did I misunderstand that your husband's boss has said that a coumster had complained about you husband however; the boss then said that no one had complained and the boss just want to get rid of your husband! Ok if that is the case then your husband may have ground to try for unfair dismissal. If your were in Leicester I could point you to a good solicitors firm that deals with employment matters. The best thing is go to your local solicitor that runs a free one hour clinic and give them your side of it all, they should be able to help. However; beware that it’s becoming harder to take an employer to tribunal “that’s thanks to the new Tory led government” All the best. E.goldstein “they watching you”!

Hi Always1more, Ok, so you’re a time served Carpenter, you have a cool skill that you are good at I am sure, have you thought about going to the local collage and teaching night School, it may restart your passion. It’s hard to change jobs and the grass always looks greener on the other side of the road! Good luck with whatever you choose. E.goldstein “they watching you”!

I hope that they are caught soon and due justice in brought to bare! Many years ago an old School friend ran a bike shop and an undesirable stole a bike from outside the shop! However what the thief did not recon on was that the shop was run by the local chapter of the Outlaws, they found the lad took him to a quarry with a blindfold on, they took his shoes off and the blindfold, showed him the edge then put the blindfold back on. Pushed him around a bit and stood him on a block “which he thought was the edge of said quarry” and asked him where the bike was. He told him quick smart. They gave him a push “shall we say that he needed new underwear”! Anyway my old School friend said can you believe it the little git went to the Police “last I heard my old School friend was at Her Majesties Pleasure! So although Law Street Justice sounds good it can back fire! E.Goldsiten “They are watching you”
