  1. Good idea Chad. Would love mine in if there's room mate. Mk1 600 Bandit after full refurb.
  2. Well an extra 50cc's for free, cant be sniffed at Mark.
  3. Yeh, got the bullocks joke. No need to milk it.
  4. An absolutely stunning bike, but probably slightly over priced. I know people who buy this type of machine for silly money (not friends or family, sadly). There is a market for this type of machine, probably not off Ebay though, would make top money in a reputable classic auto auction house. I'd love it though, for the price of a second hand Bandit.
  5. Don't take it on the chin Josh, at least try to get rid of 3x points with a course. Good luck mate Gaz
  6. Sorry to read this Josh, that sucks mate. IMO it would be worth seeing if you could get one lot of points lost by doing the course and take the other lot with the fine, that way you will only have 3 points and will not loose your licence. I wouldn't cling to this next bit of info, but I know 2x people, this year who have opted for the course for minor speeding offences and have heard nothing for months, no course, no points, no fine. A good friend of mine even changed the address on his licence since and it came back clean and still not heard anything. Good luck mate, we all speed from time to time but it's s**t when you get caught. Gaz PS personally, I don't believe in taking anything on the chin, if there's half a chance go for it.
  7. Never mind Mark, at least you're making progress. Mine is on hold now. Put the house on the market this week and flat out completing stuff for the photo's (next Tuesday). Don't see me doing anything to it before I get a new home now either, work has gone mental as well, I need about 40 hours in a day and ten days in a week at the moment. Keep up the good work, I haven't posted anything but I am still following yours mate, I really must see it in the flesh when you finish it. Gaz
  8. I would love to meet up for this but I put our house on the market this week and iv'e tons of stuff to do to get it up to scratch for the photo's, which are being done on Tuesday. I'm hating every second of grafting while the sun shines and the bikes under wraps. Have a good day everyone, think of me. Gaz
  9. Mate, Here's a couple of pics of under my seat, B6 though, not sure of differences so go careful. Gaz.
  10. A fantastic story, and your dad, what a man. I would love to do a trip like that on a bike, we should organise something, would be excellent fun.
  11. That's good news stue, pleased your feeling happier mate, Gaz
  12. Dave, I love the new machine, you're a very experienced rider of considerable years you'll be fine mate, enjoy. Gaz
  13. Just a few pics of the last few day's progress, blasted frame, swingarm, botton yoke and torsion bar, and sprayed in etch primer and 1st coat of gloss black, a couple more coats to go yet Gaz
  14. Nice ride out today. Went to the Jack's Hill cafe classic bike show. Amazing turn out with loads on display. Nice to meet Gavlar 1200 and his buddy, who's name escapes me now, all in all a good day out, defo go next year. This was the car park And finally, found this lurking in the car park, a B12 Trike, very nicely done as well. Lots of people had ride out's today and enjoyed themselves, that's what life is about but just spare a moment for the poor father that died today and all the people that this tragedy touches. Stue and co, respect !
  15. Enjoy it, thats a modern bike compared to my cb250 G5. Gaz
  16. Very Shocking, sorry to read this post. Well done guys for all your efforts. Gaz
  17. Quick spin after a wash and polish. Ride out tomorrow.
  18. Got the frame, swingarm, side stand and torsion bar all finally cleaned up, etch primed and a nice coat of gloss black. looks nice but will need more paint on tomorrow and perhaps more again next week. I've sprayed it all in black smooth hammerite. worked a treat on my bandit wheels earlier this year and is fairly easy for a novice to spray, just thin slightly with a little white spirit, thinners won't work with hammerite. Pics tomorrow after my ride out to meet Gavlar 1200 and fr499y.
  19. Nice work Mark. I know exactly what you mean about "doesn't look much work" quality not quantity mate that's what matters and your doing a quality job, front end looks sweet, looking forward to seeing it with the wheel on.
  20. Yeh, can't wait for that mate, give us a clue. Fancy a ride to Jacks hill cafe, A5 Towcester on Sunday mate/ I'm going, there's a classic bike show apparently. Gaz
  21. Ha Dave, nice bike mate, You must be well chuffed. Like everyone's said, enjoy. Gaz
  22. Not good Mark, can you do anything about it mate? Regarding my bike, to be honest, It's cheaper than playing golf and I could get my money back if I sold it, which I might add, I won't be doing.
  23. Yeh, sounds good to me, a bit of a ride and look at some old bikes. I'll PM my number as well mate. Gaz
