Spotted elsewhere, this ebay seller evidently thinks that this is an acceptable way to market motorcycle parts. Not only is it sexist, degrading and clearly aimed at the stereotypical knuckle-dragging bloke bike owner, but it took me ages to actually notice any bike parts: Parts Barn on Ebay (Don't click if you're likely to flounce!) I'm quite fond of the '71 Bultaco engine bottom end

phone charging on my bike ??

OK Dave, this is made on the following assumptions: 1) Your phone is an HTC Desire 2) Your phone charger is rated at 500mA 3) You B-King battery is rated at 10 Amp Hours. You can draw 500 mA from a 10A battery for 20 hours before the voltage drops to 10.5v (flat) [1][2][3] Plug your charger in and test the current drain with a multimeter to get a more accurate estimate. [1] In reality it might only pull 200mA, thus extending your available charge time [2] Assuming reasonable ambient temperature, no other loads like alarms etc [3] If my maths is right -

That's a touch too much If you don't have a spare regulator in stock, and don't mind a bit of fiddling about, a common mod is to fit one off of something else. Laddo used one off a late model CBR600 IIRC, but the best bet is allegedly from an '06 onwards R1 which runs a lot cooler due to not being a 'shunt' type apparently. -
