  1. Pish tosh and nonsense! English has a full stop not a period - that's what the Merkins call it. 13 punctuations according to the Queen's English Society: clicky and only 12 according to Oxford: clicky Good quiz though
  2. Absolutely not. I mean, hi-viz jacket on a sunny day - must be some kind of safety nazi On the plus side, I can't see any gash coloured anodised bolts everywhere and his bike doesn't have gold wheels
  3. Afternoon and welcome to the forum
  4. Having been nicked for having a "Thunderpole 3" on a Yam RS125 many years ago, I can indeed confirm that plod are less than amused
  5. It'll need to be a CB walkie talkie
  6. Yeah the "xbox box" ones were common a while back.
  7. If you mean the PMR type walkie talkies, then I'd guess at "no" as UK CB channels live in the 27Mhz range and PMRs live up at 446Mhz.
  8. Good choice matey, you'll soon get addicted to the "kawasaki elastic trottle cable" feeling As everyone else has said, take it easy, as it will spit you off a lot easier than the SV. Enjoy
  9. Not as common as the ZZR 'box issue, but still a fair few about. The ZZR problem was caused by wear to the gear selector drum, whereas the C model ZX9r is usually wear on the gear itself caused by insufficient engagement - it's fixed by basically adding a spacer and moving the retaining clip - Kawasaki actually sell the spacer as a fix. Was fixed before the E model came out.
  10. Admit it Tony, you miss the grey skies and constant drizzle really
  11. I like 'em, especially in that colour The C models only really have 2 niggles as far as I'm concerned: Jumping out of 2nd/3rd under hard acceleration or on the overrun and the Tokico 6 pot calipers (actually not bad, but a swine to keep free from sticky piston syndrome). Hope it's a good 'un for ya Chad
  12. Nice choice fella There are times I think that I'd like a bike in that style, but unless they do one with no chrome it would just be a waste as I don't suffer the same cleaning fetishes as some around here
  13. What do you do if you can't get your bike to re-start mid race? You pretend to be hit by a passing bike.... Click for video
  14. Bloody students Hope it goes well, I'm sure it'll fly by
  15. Surely it *has* to be down to them to put it right. They want £180 to look into a problem that they caused? Utter . If you get no joy on the phone or by phone, write them a letter of complaint and if that doesn't work then contact trading standards. I've heard a couple of scare stories about some, shall we say "less than competant or good value" bike fixers in the county and for some unknown reason they stay in business, but they were not around the 'Ville.
  16. A good idea in theory - regular restests are currently neccessary for stuff like forklifts and HIABs so why not vehicles? You are right that everyone would need some retraining, but the cost would be exhorbitant for someone with several categories, say car, bike HGV, PCV, or for the poor sods who passed after 97 and have to do the extra ones for trailers, 7.5t, minibus etc.
  17. Can't believe they let someone in wearing girly red shoes Good work though mate, nice place you got there and done in only 3 weeks
