Not as common as the ZZR 'box issue, but still a fair few about. The ZZR problem was caused by wear to the gear selector drum, whereas the C model ZX9r is usually wear on the gear itself caused by insufficient engagement - it's fixed by basically adding a spacer and moving the retaining clip - Kawasaki actually sell the spacer as a fix. Was fixed before the E model came out.

I like 'em, especially in that colour The C models only really have 2 niggles as far as I'm concerned: Jumping out of 2nd/3rd under hard acceleration or on the overrun and the Tokico 6 pot calipers (actually not bad, but a swine to keep free from sticky piston syndrome). Hope it's a good 'un for ya Chad

1 carb over fuelling help
Macie_UK replied to sparky's topic in Advice on Repairing and maintaining your bike
Surely it *has* to be down to them to put it right. They want £180 to look into a problem that they caused? Utter . If you get no joy on the phone or by phone, write them a letter of complaint and if that doesn't work then contact trading standards. I've heard a couple of scare stories about some, shall we say "less than competant or good value" bike fixers in the county and for some unknown reason they stay in business, but they were not around the 'Ville. -
A good idea in theory - regular restests are currently neccessary for stuff like forklifts and HIABs so why not vehicles? You are right that everyone would need some retraining, but the cost would be exhorbitant for someone with several categories, say car, bike HGV, PCV, or for the poor sods who passed after 97 and have to do the extra ones for trailers, 7.5t, minibus etc.
