  1. Wonder if we could keep this as a meeting location? There must be miles of roads in the area to use and ride round. I know it means we're always in one area, but it's fairly central for everyone to reach. Sounds good to me, but I'm biased!!!!

  5. Used to pass a place near Cambridge called 'Grunty Fen' but I notice its been re named Red Fen. Conjures up all sorts of things
  6. Here's a quote from Carl Fogarty that'll get some of you going: "There is no such thing as a great rider before 1975. If people like Surtees were around today, at the age of 28, they'd just be another rider on the grid."
  7. Top two rows please!!! Would take 'em all but at my age I'd need a rest between rows
  8. I seem to remember that Stoner won his championships on a trellis framed Ducati. He had little success with the carbon one and then jumped ship to Honda. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!. Feel sorry for Crutchlow. Personally I think he would be better staying put for another season. Riding a 'junior team' Duke even if it is a supposedly 'factory bike' will give him little comfort.
  9. Well worth a look. How much would these bikes be worth today?

  13. usually the crank and main bearing caps are retained in the upper half. the bottom casing does not normally clamp the crankshaft. So you wont disturb the crank or bearings. To split the cases dont use a screwdriver as you will damage the gasket face. Look for jacking holes (threaded holes with no bolts in them or cutouts so you can use a drift or soft mallet. Failing that a thin broad home made wedge.
