  1. Today, my opinion of the lottery has vastly changed. I got 1500 on Sunday, and today I got:
  2. I have been having problems with Petville during the last two days. My entire neighborhood has disappeared, even though I am receiving gifts from them. That's no fun. They need to fix the glitches.
  3. I do too. Last nught when we spoke to my brother in law, he said something about this being Papa's last Christmas. I will never believe that. My father in law lived through the war, lost both of his parents, and overcame insurmountable odds. I am keeping the faith that he will overcome this too. I love him very much, he became the father I was denied when my own left during my youth. He even calls me his daughter and that just means the world to me.
  4. My brother-in-law called tonight and wants us to drive to Berlin for Christmas. So, we will be going, and it's looking like it will be a huge family shindig. He's not very optimistic about Papa's health, so please continue to pray for him as well as my mother-in-law. They both need strength to face the coming days / weeks. This means I won't be around much between the 23rd and the 2nd of January. Thank you.
  5. Here things are rather quiet. My husband should be home in a few and we're going to go and get our turkey for Christmas dinner. We had actually planned to leave on Sunday, and then come back on the 2nd. Now we're just going to be here for all the holidays. I won't miss the rest of the Christmas stuff, but still...It's a bit depressing all the same. Tomorrow we are going to Mainz to tour the large church in the center of town with the choir, and then afterwards we'll have dinner. The days leading up to Christmas will be nice, but the day itself I fear will be rather lonely.
  6. It is very difficult to be in a situation with someone who has to deal with their own fate, but when it affects your self esteem and the way you feel about yourself, then what is being done is a grave injustice. I am sorry to read that you are dealing with so much during this time of year. The others have pretty much said what I would say so I will simply say go and speak to a trained professional and let them help you. I wish there was more I could say, but there really isn't. Hang in there.
  7. I am very sad, we got the call from my husband's mother last night and Christmas with the family has been cancelled. That is, we are not going to the North Sea coast this year and my father in law must have another operation. The holidays have had a damper put on them. I am trying to remain optimistic, but it is hard.
  8. I just got word that we cannot go to the North Sea for Christmas. Papa's cancer is bigger than they thought and now he's got to have another operation. This is devastating news and when I spoke with Mama this evening she sounded like she was on the verge of crying. We are now waiting for her to call back. So, it looks like my husband and I will be alone this Christmas. I had been so excited about it, and now I just don't know how I feel. Please continue praying for Papa's health, it is greatly appreciated.
  9. I have a hair appointment today and will be out Christmas shopping this afternoon. Not a lot of PS playing today.
  10. On Sunday, I got 1500 coins in the lottery. I was paying more attention to the anteater and less to the other amounts. I was overjoyed. I had never gotten anything over 500 since I started the game in January, so I was pretty thrilled.
  11. Many thanks for the great prize. Thsi is the first time I've won anything here, so my mayor doll will be treasured.
  12. That's the most beautiful response!
  13. Your son has good taste in music. I have a very hard time deciding what song is my favorite...Bing Crosby singing 'White Christmas' or Chris de Burgh singing 'The Bells of Christmas'. I love the holidays...and the music.
  14. I'm excited. I am almost finished making the presents for my family and I am feeling very relaxed about it. Just waiting to get word about whether or not we can go to my in-laws on the North Sea coast. Hoping, hoping hoping, even though I will be Internetless there.
  15. Tiddly Winks

    New Items....

I got one gifted to me. You put in the battery like with the Nanny Bot, and it snows in your house.
  16. Lovely. I love that song and Paul McCartney, wow. One day I want to see him in concert.
  17. I won't be trying to get all the snowman stuff, but I have bought a few and was gifted some. I have sent my extras to a friend who gave me the Advent candles that I was desperate to get. I was elated this morning when I checked in and was gifted some of the new stuff. Love the new stuff, love the fact that I can have snow in Tiddly Winks' house (again she got gifted the snow machine and battery). Here's hoping everyone has a wonderful day. I am going to watch Hans Christian Andersen (again) and work on the bears. They are almost finished, just have to put them together and stitch their faces. My husband's bear is done, my in laws bears are sewn but not finished.
  18. I think the new banners look great. They make the forum not look so busy and the way they are done is really easy on the eyes. If that makes sense. Great job.
  19. Congratulations. May you have many years of joy and happiness together.
  20. Good afternoon everyone. I just got to the computer after a day stocked full of shopping and other things. We left at 9 this morning after waking at half past 7 to go have breakfast, then we did some shopping, and then drove to the post office, then went to buy fabric at the wholesale place in the next town. We got back at noon, only to have two hours and then left again to go visit a craft bazarr. I am beat, and it's only 5:30 here. I guess I will get my visits done and sit down and watch a movie and relax. Hey Mr. Mayor Cheers!
  21. I know I sound like a scrooge, but I like the shape and color of last year's trees.
  22. Thanks everyone. I really do appreciate it, and so does the family.
