  1. It can't hurt as long as there's no caffeine in it. If you drink coffee, make it decaf. I don't know if there is something in chocolate that keeps people awake. Otherwise, something warm does generally help. Sometimes what really helps me is a small glass of red wine, or hot tea with sugar candies and a small shot of rum (But only if it is allowable) .
  2. I'm working on teddy bears these days. I have my father in law's nearly finished, and today I am going to another Christmas party with my friends who also occupy their time with bears. I need to work on my story too. This is a busy time of year for everyone, I think. I will be entering the contest, but I haven't enough postings, yet. I'll PM you when I qualify. Hopefully I will by the time the contest deadline hits.
  3. Perhaps, or there is something in that bait that is radioactive. Mwahahaha.
  4. I had, for a while CSD (Chronic Sleeping Disorder), which was cured (if that's possible) by Homeopathic treatments. It's a form of alternative medicine. Today, my sleeping problems are a thing of the past, but on any given night, I wil have insomnia. What I do isn't so extreme, as in the case with CSD, I try to balance out when I wake each day and when I go to sleep. That is, I generally go to bed at 11pm and wake at 8 am every day (even on weekends). That way my body is adjusted to this and it makes going to sleep easier. If it's an extreme case I will take a plantlike substance called 'Baldrian', which helps to calm me down and then I can go to sleep. Hope that helps.
  5. Actually, it is on the wheel. I noticed it today, but I hate that bloody wheel. I never get above 200 coins on it. At least with the old envelopes I sometimes got 500 coins. Now, it's worse than before. Some people are lucky, and some are not. The only way I got the anteater was one of my friends gifted it to me.
  6. I have to decide what to get. I was thinking that fireplace, since I like it so much. Hard to decide, but the coins are quickly burning a hole in my pocket.
  7. That solves my weirdness thread. So, I wasn't imagining things, I do have 15 free CCs.
  8. I logged into PS yesterday and had two cash coins left. I had been contemplating buying a few more to get some more fish bisquits, but this morning, when I logged in, I had seventeen. I just noticed this a few moments ago and remembered that I had gotten my deer today from when I bought the coins back in October and there was an issue with the plushies. So, did PF actually give me 15 CC's for the confusion from back then or am I just going senile? I am not complaining, not by any stretch of the imagination, I mean; this is really great. But, I do know how many I had yesterday, I did not purchase any today, and now I have fifteen more than I had surmised.
  9. My problem is I am about 50 posts short of the required amounts. I want to enter and hope that I will have the number of postings by the deadline. I think I will. Posting here is fun and I do enjoy conversing with all of you.
  10. Oh definitely, a kiss from Hideeni would put Tiddly Winks in orbit. But, yeah, it would be so cute to see him do a jig with the other two pets. I would love that. Of course, I sometimes put the brush or soap near HIdeeni so he can scrub himself clean, or brush his fur. He's such a cutie. But, a hideeni doll would be awesome...but in yellow like in your signature. I love how the yellow and black contrast. It's cute.
  11. Uh your rules say November, but I think you mean December, right?
  12. I watched 'White Christmas' today. My friend on Facebook posted a bunch of videos with Danny Kaye, and then I just decided to watch it. I love that movie.
  13. If they are a business then they should be adequate at packaging the items and sending them insured. Just check and make sure the stuff is mailed insured and if you feel uncertain, send them an email. Companies, for the most part, have to keep with customer service simply because there are so many of them that do that. Check their feedback and see what other customers are saying. (I always do this when I buy from Amazon Marketplace, or Ebay.)
  14. That's hard, but here's a story for you that might help. Earlier this year, my choir director asked me to play my flute for our concert. I was scared to death of doing it. I had not played the flute in front of people for over 20 years, and am not the world's greatest flute player. But, I was determined to get over being scared of getting up and playing in front of people. Singing is no problem, I've done solos before, but playing scared the life out of me. I dragged my feet so much about it, and finally I decided that I was going to get over my fear of plaiyng in front of people. I started small by playing at home for my family, and then after a time I got up in front of the choir and played. I was scared...no make that terrified, about playing in front of them. What will I say if I messed up, how would I get over that? I asked myself almost constantly. Then something happened, I realized that these folks are my friends, and if I did mess up, they won't laugh at me, they will offer me moral support for trying. So, taking baby steps, I first played the song in front of the choir, and then I had to work on getting over the nerves. My hands would shake like crazy, but I was so determined to play the song to the best of my abilities. On September 27, my fears were overcome when I got up in front of an audience and played the song by myself in front of 250 people. I don't know what they thought of the performance, but when my friend's daughter came up to me and said 'you played the flute nicely', I realized that it was all worth it. Getting up in front of people takes a lot of courage, but when you stand before people you know, it does help and they know that it's nervewracking. One time a friend of mine told me after I was so broken up about forgetting the words to a song, 'the ones you got right were fantastic'. Today, that's precisely how I go into performing. Hope that helps. Good luck with your song and your acting.
  15. No problem. They should have a guarantee on the items, and they should ship them insured. It may cost more, but I would insist on it. Record albums are so fragile. When I moved from the US to Germany some 14 years ago, I remember how some of mine had been damanged because of high tempratures. One even got warped...it was very disquieting. With this time of year, you will hopefully not encounter that.
  16. They basically mean that the vinyl records are as listed, or exceed requirements for selling on that site. If the vinyl records are being sold by private individuals, I'd ask them the condition of the product. The CDs are listed in mint condition, according to what you posted, but there's a difference between vinyl and CDs. I am sort of at a loss about the covers graded first part. Looks like a standard disclaimer to me, but I would post some inquiries to the seller, particularly with vinyl albums, since those are easily damaged.
  17. I'd love to see a Hideeni doll. My pet seriously crushes after Hideeni, and every time I see him, she insists on a picture with him. But, yeah, extra coinage would be cool, specifically since everything seems to be so pricey these days.
  18. Welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy yourself here. It's a fun place to be, and everyone is very helpful and kind. Merry Christmas.
  19. Hope you enjoy your time here. I love this forum, and am trying to get my posts up to enter the song contest. It's such a great place: The contests, the friends, the fun. There's no place like PSFC for the holidays.
  20. I have already written a song, never before published, and recorded it an MP3. This is exciting!
  21. Someone gifted me one. I have been playing for the last few days...but what I remember is getting it in a package...as well as the mayor finally sending me my deer. (That is not to be mistaken with the admin here).
  22. Oh I know. I have to laugh, because 2010 is the year we make contact, supposedly. Or something sci-fi-ish anyway. I love the whole idea. But, my father in law will be okay. I have faith that he will be back on his feet in no time. It's just that dang uncertainty that looms. I have a lot of friends praying and I will be calling my church to get prayerful support as well. I believe in the power of prayer, so hopefully that will be guidance for doctors and healing for Papa.
  23. I prefer last year's trees to this years. I guess I really think the form of them is better. BUt, I do like twinkly lights and the snow ornaments. I haven't really had a chance to decorate yet, but I do think the new items will be fun. I love the different ornaments out of the eggs. They are really neat.
  24. I still have it on my ticker, and hope that some of my friends will join up. Some already have, so that's a good thing. Hope that we do reach 4,000 by Christmas, it would be a fine thing indeed.
