My posting these days is a bit erratic mainly because I work a lot, but I'm an early model! -
Interesting about the fuel injection. My VFR Vtec has the same problem. Solved by disconnecting the PAIRS valves and snorkel hose. Stupidly better at low speed and appears to be giving better fuel economy. Bike looks nice dude, very useable thing. -
Working in Cumbria Sunday mate looks set fair for you anyhow. -
OK as an aside to next year's rideout discussion, working on the basis that it won't be a day ride, state your preference on accommodation. I'm not offering to organise anything just yet, but irrespective of by whom or how it gets done, I figure this might be an interesting exercise. Please only post if you're relatively serious about attending. -
Well, yes, I know my way around the Dales right enough. My worry would be time to organise it properly. May need some help or leave the accommodation to people's discretion. Organising a route or two would be easy enough tbh. -
OK well I think Scotland's probably a bit extreme, how does a weekend in Wales sound? Not short of a few good roads, relatively similar distance for a lot of us, plenty of scenery.

They're spool holder pins off a home size winding jenny, for spooling cotton, braid and suchlike. -
Any takers for a trip abroad then? Max 5 days, I'll suggest either Ardennes or Vosges. Serious mileage but a proper road trip.

is it the same type we have down here? It's probably traditional Yorkshire electricity, if you plug in a brass band starts up in the background. I think it may very well work though. -
I've got a Hayabusa shock which I was going to fit on my Bandit, but never did. It will fit on MKII Bandits, bit too long for the MKI probably. Any Bandit riders here looking for a better shock which also jacks up the rear? -

It's the sort of thing pretentious Italian motorcycle buffs do. btw Oberon cylinder is a sound move, but you will still need to periodically bleed the clutch line. -

Well I got back, didn't see wet tarmac until about 75 miles from home. Dodged the actual rainstorms but had a lot of spray, then 2 miles from home had to ride along the pavement to circumvent a flooded road. Anyway, as Sam Gamgee said, "Well, I'm back"

Right, managed to dodge the French rainstorms. On the ferry now, katamaran actually so not hanging about, just got to get from Portsmouth to Nottingham now without getting a dousing

Well if it helps l have had a lot of toothache arrived in Le Mans, 36 degrees. Think l may get in the shower to dry off! Our lunch stop was just to the right of this pic, on the bridge over the Loire. Getting into good cider country btw-best summer drink ever

Yesterday was hard-270 miles on D roads is a pretty long way. Just letting lunch settle in Saumur, enjoying the breeze off the Loire which is 50 yards away. About 60 more miles into Le Mans.

Awesome day's ride, just cooling off then into the village for a beer l guess. Feeling OK, bike behaving, weather perfect, maybe a bit hot on the bike, but lots of sunshine and good tarmac. Coffee stop this afternoon This is the Garganta, a gorge near Broto. Took the pic into the sun and in hurry but you get the idea. Thinking of going the long way into Pau tomorrow but will what weather is like first.

Packing tonight, leave Vinaros in the morning for Broto in the Ordesa National Park in the Pyrenees. Should cross into France Tuesday lunchtime l guess.

Anyway, Saturday morning went down town for a few bits, and the local classic club was set up in the square. Norton Commando there although mainly old Spanish and ltalian stuff.
