  1. no, not least cuz Ros has buried it in other stuff. I can see the floor now I'll grant you, but I can't do feck all
  2. try putting a washer or two under the rear shock mount rather than lowering the forks. Yes I was thinking about that, although for my VFR originally.
  3. I've had my Triumph well over a year and never quite got on with the front end. Seemed hard and lifeless, so finally l set the forks back to factory settings as a start point. What a difference! Dunno if the previous owner was a bit of a munter, but preload, compression and damping were all stiffer than stock. Might try lowering the yokes a tad as well. I feel quite encouraged by my evening's work
  4. Tuono is a fantastic bike, S3 is a bit more easy going.
  5. I'm a fan of Alpinestars mate. That said, my favourite leather is my Spidi, bit dearer but feels very nice on.
  6. Welcome mate. As a fellow Speedy owner you get my vote despite being from Leicester Sorry it's a Street Triple you've got. No bad thing all the same
  7. Any excuse to put this out again https://audioboo.fm/boos/1007344-greatstorm-25-years-on-brian-nick-pandolfi
  8. www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-isle-of-man-27684730 I don't know how much longer it's going to be allowed personally.
  9. I'm not. I've got a call out in Surrey. I'm about ready to give up. Need the money though
  10. Ferry booked-decided to go from Le Havre as it's only a 3 hour crossing and it means we can have a night in Honfleur, which looks a very pretty little place. Need to start booking hotels but I'm trying to get a credit card that doesn't charge non sterling transaction fees. Saga turned me down, the bastids PS just got a Post Office card and accepted online, so my non sterling problem is solved.
  11. I'm busy too-just booked a hotel in Cumbria for a job this weekend. And I go away in 5 weeks!!
  12. Has my pooter gone dippy or has no one posted on here since 8 o' clock last night? Seems like a deathly hush to me. Come on folks, shirley someone has something to say....
  13. Looks nice enough Dick, all the same. Still got a good day out by the look of it.
  14. Count me out mate but have a safe and enjoyable trip
  15. Jogging, jogging. Prob need to get my ears syringed!!
  16. She's on about going dogging with her sister now.
  17. The wife finally came out on the Speed Triple today. I was fully expecting a resounding thumbs down what with that tiddy seat and no grab rail. Put my love handles on to reassure her but she was soon cocky enough to just sit there while I bimbled along. I don't suppose we'll go to the south of France on it but an odd morning up Derbyshire would be fine by me.
  18. Right, after some discussion we've made a slight alteration-going to head to St Malo to cross the water. That means going over the Pyrenees towards Pau, along a blinding looking road which is the A-136 on the Spanish side, becoming the D934/D918 on the French side. Will stop on the N-260 first night, a pretty high pass or two to Pau, then through Poitou-Charentes stopping at Poitiers, Le Mans and overnight at St Malo for the morning crossing. Means more mileage on the bike and I can do a good chunk of mountain road so I'm happy enough. Just need to decide what day to cross so I can work backwards with hotels.
  19. It's a strange post to my mind. Not sure if it's bordering on trolling for that matter. But good luck to you mate-I'll sweat a bit more tomorrow and think lovingly of you.
  20. Only replied to see about this code business-and there is none
  21. As you say, no longer present on the V5C. That's because by the letter of the law, only licensed recyclers/scrappers are supposed to do it now. Not sure what you can do but I'd suggest talking to DVLA.
