  1. I've had Road Attacks and they are a decent tyre. Probably not in the same league as Michelin PRs or similar. Wear well. What I will say is I think Maxxis Sport Touring are a better tyre than the Contis at less money, if you're looking a little below the stupidly expensive "top" tyres
  2. Cor, one more and you'll be three sheets to the wind.
  3. Changed a 306 gearbox on my own a couple of Christmases ago. Pretty tight fit actually-be sure to remove the top engine mount with a stud extractor and you'll be far better served.
  4. 306 links are well known for giving poor gearchange.
  5. Bugger! Thought it was a thread about cheap meat
  6. I've done a few of those in my time. All on 306s and all outside
  7. Well I suppose she's cheap now and still has some small sex symbol status. Not fit to blow the froth off Suzi Perry's beer mind
  8. Well, to be fair, he comes across as pretty grounded-which ought to exclude him from R1 ownership anyway I'd say the problem is with certain types who believe that a given bike will somehow make them a better rider. A bit like all the shit talked about tyres really. With any bike, it's attitude that counts. Kid yourself the bike will rectify your errors and you're in the poop.
  9. A twist on the old "come on Fanny, we're not staying here to be insulted"
  10. Looking at it another way, at least you'd only be stuffing yourself up the arse, rather than other people doing it to you. Should any of my superiors happen to see this, I you.
  11. Can't see it mate, too many errors and wrong decisions. I suspect France can get enough points to see them over the line.
  12. Look in your handbook or Google it. What bike is it?

  14. Use the old seals as a drift to drive the new ones into place I got my last lot from I think Bearings Direct or something. Japanese ones cost about £20. Thing is you'll need the dimensions to find the seal you want.
  15. Halfords sell some good oil, not least the Castrol motorbike oil. Done thousands of miles on Castrol particularly on my ZZR12 and it's pretty much as good now as it was when I bought it 68,000 miles ago.
  16. Baldies rule Dave, you know this. You look so much fookin harder!
  17. If you're travelling up on the Friday it's only an average of 235 miles a day. Should leave your afternoons free.
  18. Looks like I'll be out walking with my girls. And then back to work on Sunday, when as you pointed out, the weather looks like being a bit cack.
  19. ISTR last year someone on here went there and was distinctly underwhelmed. Might have been Bladerunner?
  20. Looks pretty crap actually mate. I don't think I'll be going, but I'll see how it looks in the morning.
  21. There's no such thing as OEM fork seals guys. They're made by third party manufacturers, just like tyres and light bulbs. Buy a good name and be sure you take care fitting them.
  22. Sorry mate, hope you got out. I need to rob a bank I reckon so I can have a bit more time to myself!
  23. It's the old shape. I can't be arsed with putting it in some local rag and pratting around with tyrekickers TBH, time is just too valuable to me.
  24. It is a shame but needs must. It's a good car but I simply will never have the time to fix the clutch and do something with it.
  25. I think it's a 1.8 but I'd have to check the V5C, it was my son's actually.
