no m8 audi and mercedes are bringing out some feckin stupid colours nightmare for us repairers. why not get a solid basecoat and add some flake of your choice.

go on website www.specialistpaints.com click on custom paints, click on sparkle pearls I have used there paint and its good stuff and they have some great colours.

had a tesla p85 in for a small bit of paintwork this week "what a car" this is the slow one 0 to 60 in about 4 seconds, the faster one does it in 2.8 seconds, all electric 4 wheel drive alloy bodied its like having a turbo without the lag and no gear changes just pulls and keeps pulling. when they start making affordable electric bikes anything like this car I will deffo be in the queue. I also really liked the way the door handles electronically pull in flush with the bodywork.

stripped and pulled the head off today, got to see my friendly mechanic to borrow his spring compressor to get the valves out so should get started on the porting next week sometime.

does it still whine when you take it out of gear when moving if so could be a wheel bearing, also does it still whine when the clutch is depressed with some revs on or again moving if so could be diff . when the timing belt was changed did they also renew the tensioner as they can also whine when worn, I think I would take it back to the dealer and get them to sort it . you can use steel wheel as a spare as long as the tyre is the same size unless its a spacesaver. bear in mind you may need to use different wheel bolts .

I think it needs to be over three days not two so we have a full day riding around when there and the lads travelling a long way are not trying to cram it all in together. four days would be even better especially if the weather is good.

well thought I would do a few little jobs on the bike, polish exhaust back up,bit of paintwork, plugs ect, new seals in carbs, the bike has been using a bit more oil than I thought was right for the milage. so pulls off carbs looks into inlet port and the back of intake valves is covered in baked on oil which is a sure sign of valve seal leakage well they probably the origonals so are 22 years old so gonna be a bit crispy now. you can do them with the engine in but its pretty awkward so seing as I already had the rad and exhaust off I thought I might as well just drop the motor out. so while I'm on I think I will pull the head off to do job properly and also give it a mild porting job too. should get seals and gaskets next week, will keep me occupied for a while.

july should be ok for me, especially if its Scotland. us northeners could organize a recci run for some of the route perhaps.
