  1. Right. Have we got a campsite sorted? Given the school holidays are closing in rapidly, need to look at booking up. Given we've got a split between b&b and camping, someone has a walk back on the Saturday evening after the ride out There are shed loads of campsites in and around, but these look to be two of the better ones. Does anyone know which would suit us best? Or is there another cheaper option? These look to be between £14-£29 for the night Park Foot Camping & Caravan Park - Pooley Bridge, Ullswater Waterside House Camping Site - Pooley Bridge, Ullswater
  2. All sorts of advice and thoughts about whether or not to take it, so I won't go into that here. All I'll say is what has been said before. You're own tax returns etc aren't that bad to do and are actually fairly simple. If you do go this route, any work you get paid for, put 25% of what you get paid straight into the bank and leave it. That should be enough to cover your Tax and NI liability. Yes there is an earnings limit below which you don't pay tax, but it's never good to just put money away after you've reached that limit. Do it with everything and you shouldn't have a problem. If you need a hand with it, let me know
  3. Was debating about this, and it just looks too good today!! About to finish my cornflakes, then out with bike and off to work. After work, possibly a quick blast out to Scaling Dam with my Dad and the eldest son for a cuppa and a Kitcat (or piece of cake, us athletes have to be careful ). Have fun all, and will catch you later
  4. Had never thought of that. Sounds like a good idea Congrats on the badgering as well

  8. mate. It is a battle. Wouldn't be to bad if they weren't getting much, but on the money they're on, shouldn't be a struggle for them. You may have to remind them each week . But depends on whether it causes friction between you and the good lady Haven't got an answer mate, unless you can get the good lady on board

  17. Weather held up okay Few dark clouds but nothing major. Made it to work and back to Angelas fine. HEading to my Mams, guy overtook the council "lawnmower", then decided to drive along the white line up until the roundabout. Don't think he even know I was there Still, eventually passed him and left him to it
