Jezza, like me you're cautious about frying the ECU - which has happened to several people reflashing. A cheaper alternative to the Power Commander is the Healtech FI TunerPro with which you can adjust all 8 injectors, it just doesn't have the PCVs expansion facility for autotune/quickshifter etc. a good dyno man and supplier is Tim Blakemore Racing in Bristol. With the FI TunerPro and XTRE "piggyback" system - which works just fine - my B-King is up from stock 164bhp to 186bhp; that's with exhaust and airbox work. The bike runs dead smooth with better power and torque at 99% of throttle/rev combinations; 9.88et@143mph and top speed (on a private road of course) of 174mph. That's a true speed indicated, courtesy of another "piggyback" the Speedohealer,which I've calibrated by satnav. Just think what you might get on the Busa? Old and Disgraceful

Something "left field" to consider Stu. If you are broad minded enough to consider a cruiser, I had a Kawasaki VN2000 for four years. The most comfortable bike I've experienced in 41 years of biking and it has plenty of torque to keep you excited. It was the only bike my wife could pillion with a broken back. Much as I love my B-King, and don't intend to ever part with it, my Suzuki loyalty does not cloud my opinion that the ZZR1400 is better all round, IMHO, than the Busa - yes I have ridden both. I don't think though that even those motherships are very good for pillions, which seems to be one of your criteria......why not try a beemer????? Old and Disgraceful -

B-King stand

Looked at the Constands before Dave; do you think it will ACTUALLY be a stable support for the King? Perhaps the Abba stand is better and costs half the price, waddya think? My personal LOW COST solution is a bar through the swingarm pivot on two axle stands when I want both wheels off the ground...still needs a jack under the header pipes to lift the front wheel (weight is about 55rear/45front) Old and Disgraceful -

At long last I've found the pic of a torn apart can...... I think you may be able to drill through the baffle you can see looking down the outlet pipes and on through the baffle plate that goes right across the silencer nearer the inlet ( If you see what I mean) Check the link I've posted on the B-King site Dave Old and Disgraceful -

So you're going to keep one stock silencer in as near mint condition as possible - brilliant. (I've got all my stock parts wrapped up nice and comfy.) Agree with Tony, now you've got one to play with cut it open and take as much as you want out. As I've told you several times the stock silencer is quite a labarynth inside and drilling out the two final baffle plates will make little difference. Even if you completely gut the can it will not make much difference to the running of the bike as yours is otherwise completely standard: you will not really need to alter the fuelling unless you go further down the engine mod' route with airbox changes etc. Old and Disgraceful -
The fact of the matter is when leant over the wheel radius is smaller so the wheel has to turn faster for the same speed and the revs need to be higher so the speedo will read more, whether it's reading from either wheel or the gearbox output shaft. BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER Old and Disgraceful ......And by the time Dave's got round to buggering up his stock silencer he could have saved for some nice Yoshis to go inside the rocket launchers for the stock look with guaranteed better sounds IMHO Or I could make him a REALLY nice sounding B-King exhaust

My 190/55 rear tyre has a rolling radius at the centre tread of 320.4mm and the rolling radius at the edge of the tread (which I don't use cause I'm a chicken) is 288.4mm. If in a straight line my speed is such that my wheel turns 100 times in a given period of time then at the same speed when at full lean the wheel will turn 100 X 320.4 / 288.4 times, that is 111 revolutions so the speedo will read 11% faster and the rev's required to maintain that speed need to also rise by 11%. This is purely academic because when I'm leant over any more than 10 degrees from vertical I'm looking where I'm going, not at the speedo. Now if I really want to be silly, given a nice big roundabout and a big balls transplant, with my speedo corrected with a Speedohealer to agree with Satnav in a straight line will the Satnav keep up with my position with enough accuracy to verify the amount the speedo theoretically over reads at large angles of lean Old and Disgraceful

A slight deviation from the unfairness of making getting a bike licence so much harder than a car licence. Dare I say it....please don't flame me......Everyone should take a regular retest (5 years?) for all classes of vehicles they wish to use on the public highway.....think I'd fail both tests without some serious retraining to sort out the bad habits we all develop. Old and Disgraceful
