  3. that last one sounds a bit like the Bloody Moos "Timothy Leary" Old and Disgraceful If in doubt, go flat out.....or perhaps slow down....
  4. May as well go the whole hog and fit a towbar for the c*r*v*n Old and Disgraceful When in doubt, go flat out!
  5. Any one of those "safe and responsible people" can have shit happen which sends them over the edge to take actions that are totally unacceptable. Plenty of previously well balanced people suffer breakdowns all the time that can result in their judgement becoming questionable. Then there is the scenario where a "safe and responsible person", being a normal fallible human being, has a lapse of vigilance allowing a "not so safe and responsible person" access to their toys...... hello everyone

Welcome. There's a fair few of us B-Kingers on this forum now, courtesy of DaveH. We'd best promise not to take over the Old and Disgraceful When in doubt, go flat out!

  9. Was the " little box of tricks" a Healtech FI TunerPro by any chance? I can heartilly recommend Tim Blakemore. I've always used him and will continue to do so. He really knows his stuff, especially big Suzuki and Kawasaki motors. Also, Tim doesn't inflate the numbers, but dials in the right correction factors for air temp' humidity etc. For the full treatment he'll get your fuelling as near as perfect right across the full rev and throttle opening ranges. Old and Disgraceful When in doubt, go flat out!
  10. I've still got my original 1972 licence somewhere. They were dark red and about the size of a credit card. As soon as I've had a rummage will post a pic of it...... Old and Disgraceful When in doubt, go flat out!
  11. Hiya Ted from a fellow Devonian I'm in the North of the county, worrying the sheep on Exmoor, perhaps we could meet up for a ride and chat - that is if you can stomach being associated with a B-King rider Old and Disgraceful If in doubt, go flat out!
  12. Why not make the southern meet a bit more to the left hand side of the south. Kent is still a million miles (slight exageration) from me Old and Disgraceful
  13. And that small tiny electronic device could easily include a compulsory tracker so's the powers that be can always know where each vehicle is.........and what speed it's doing........perhaps we won't suggest it..... Old and Disgraceful
  14. I just happen to have a straight length of 2" x 1" box section steel in the workshop leftover from making, believe it ir not, HD swingarms many years ago. I got the bike upright and pointing straight ahead then laid this straight edge either side of the rear wheel and measured distance from edge to front wheel rim at furthest and nearest points from the rear axle on both sides. Adjusted the rear wheel so these measurements were all the same. Alignment then spot on. Done it once only and marked adjusters/swingarm accordingly. I now adjust axle to same either side between my precise marks on the adjusters and swingarm.
  15. Yep, swingarm marks can be out. Chain and wheel alignment are effectively the same, provided the motor is mounted properly in a straight frame. For mortals on the road a couple of mm out is nothing to worry about. There's lots of ways to check the alignment using readily available materials and tools YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SPEND OUT on laser nonsense. However if you really feel the need to add to your collection of shiny tools buy a laser alignment thingy instead of a couple of tanks of petrol. Old and Disgraceful
  16. Haven't we seen this before? Gyroscopes on bikes will make changing direction, that is earholing it round bends, a lot more difficult. When we come off on bends it's most often because we go in faster than we're comfortable with and then lose the plot - I KNOW Old and Disgraceful
  17. I just hope the new Suzukis will be more competitive than in the last couple of years of their MotoGP presence. That would surely make mine and Dave's B-Kings at least 10mph faster Old and Disgraceful
  18. I've only ever been blanked by sportsbikes riders, I think it's the ones who think their bike is so exotic it makes them shit gold. That said, I always try and acknowledge all other two wheelers - and couurteously acknowledge the increasing number of car drivers who move over to make overtaking easier and safer (in the clear knowledge that they are aware of you). However, look at the photo carefully, are they both giving a V sign there - or is it another special American salutation? Old and Disgraceful
  19. Yep, a great man. I must be one of many who were first turned on to the wonders of the universe and science by him. Long may his xylophone playing annoy the angels... Old and Disgraceful
  20. Minimum pricing will have it's greatest effect on low income moderate drinkers, like the single mum struggling to get by who can just about afford to treat herself to a single cheap bottle of plonk at the weekend, or me with one lowish income with a disabled wife who needs 24 hour care, provided by yours truly when I'm not slaving to pay the bills, and I have a couple of bottles of cheap cider once a week. It will do nothing to alter the behaviour of Friday/Saturday kids getting blathered or hardened problem drinkers who'll just do a bit more shoplifting/ mugging to get their fix. Old and Disgraceful
  21. Dave, you must not be silly when you're over there - enjoy within your own comfort zone Rider in the video didn't seem to be accelerating fast enough to need all the power so why was he keeping it in the lower gears with loadsa revs all the time. The B-king has this thing called a "nice fat torque curve".... but what do I know, I'm a pussy on the road, aint that right Dave Old and Disgraceful
  22. If there's one thing you absolutely must do it's the TT. Enjoy it Dave, just don't get carried away trying to copy the racers Old and Disgraceful
  23. Jane's just told me she should loosen the wheel nuts before using the jack and that she always has gloves and an apron in the car if I ever need her to change a wheel. She'd also have a deckchair for me to sit on while she does the wheel change....... .....in my dreams Old and Disgraceful
  24. The problem with the Sun page 3 pic's is I've got bigger tits than most of the girls there. Do they have to perpetuate the myth that all men are interested in is skinny little girls with bones sticking out - we want curves and big tits Old and Disgraceful
