  1. reckon the worst bit is now matt, takeing painkillers like there smarties look like Im chewing a tennis ball hope the swelling has gone down by the weekend,so I can get me helmet on hope you're joking Lee-if you get cold/draught around a traumatised socket you will know pain
  2. Well.....it is a Dunlop Sportmax. Made largely of snot so I think the idea is grip, not mileage. Problem with soft tyres is that they wear pretty quickly no matter how you ride.
  3. Jammy dodger-hope you have a great time. It looks the best I'll get will be a few days at Loggerheads with the wife
  4. Welcome mate-also in Notts. And yes, a CG125 is a smashing little bike to cut your teeth on.
  5. I've provisionally arranged a test ride on a Z100SX mate when I have some time to take it out.
  6. Nice one Dave BTW, a good trick to revive a lead acid battery in an emergency is to top it up with red wine.
  7. It's made my day Dave-I've got a 98 B12 with only 10k miles on it so I'd best get polishing
  8. Holy crap! Three grand for a 15 year old bike? They're having a giraffe!
  9. I've been toying with the idea of bringing mine back from Spain to sell it, but won't be for quite some time I reckon. Mileage-properly looked after 100k is easy enough, more likely to suffer damage from stunting I'd say. Head bearings & forks will soon go off if someone fancies themselves as a wheelie king. No real gremlins in them, if it looks right & sounds right, chances are it is right.
  10. Will, my ZZR1200 is coming up on 57k and is still sweet as a nut. Lots of guys on the ZZR forum have topped 100k without problems. B/birds, Pans, VFR800s are all better built bikes than a ZZR so if the money's right, the mileage wouldn't worry me unduly.
  11. Stonking bike mate, if it's been looked after even 86k is no major worry-it should go that far again really. They are a bit prone to reg/rectifiers going, can be replaced around the £50-60 mark IIRC. I'd check on price due to the mileage but yes, it's prob around £1k under typical W plate B/bird money. Just make sure the brakes are in good nick as the Honda linked braking can be an arse to sort out if it gives trouble.
  12. Nice one Lee-can't believe you trust that bike on a bamboo centre stand though
  13. Thanks m8 I wish it made sense to me I am only a bricklayer soz Dave couldn't resist

  15. If I've read it right and all your electrics are off you may have a failed rectifier. I'd check the battery voltage in situ, then fire up the bike & check again. Hopefully you'll see a slight rise in voltage indicating charging is taking place. If not, could be the rectifier as I said.
  16. Ring around & see if anyone local can do a drop test on a 6v battery. Might have a cell down. I don't suppose you know what charging system it uses do you Dave? What exact model & year is it?
  17. No benefit to me or any of us I know, but it's nice to think someone stuck it up the supermarkets for a little while. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-12939234
  18. I did consider posting to say I'd bought a caravan, but who the hell could be that stupid?
  19. Tax on line mate, no need for your docs then. you can misplace them to your heart's content
  20. Funnily enough Dave I've had exactly the same thought this morning-wrong side of 50, ... Sorry, what's today's date?
  21. Can't log in to the Bandit forum. Don't you have Photobucket or similar? Just add it straight into the page then.
  22. I can't even remember what she was driving all I know it was red and it hurt like hell and I now have a black foot Bugger your luck, Lenny Henry's got two! Main thing is you're OK mate, best of luck for a successful claim in due course.
  23. And wasn't it kind of them at Chatsworth laying on our own parking so we could all be together?
