  1. I can indeed!! that beowulf got a nice sound to it without baffles as well
  2. Don't get my wrong, there comfy cars inside and on motorways/dual carriageways, just roads like we got around here it was horrible. Like your doing, removing run flats would probs help as they are hard and don't suck up the bumps too well!
  3. Thundercat, cheaper to buy, cheaper to insure but goes pretty much like the R6. ZX7R, GSXR 600's have enough power to land you in the shit. smaller sports bikes are quicker than you might think. look at the cbr600F, 130BHP ( not enough torque though ) and once wound up will go bloody fast!
  4. Im used to the power on the zed but on this it kicks in the second you twist the throttle lol and its surprisingly comfy for a sports bike
  5. new engine is in and is sweet as a nut, 20k ish on the new engine, and only just over 30k on the bike itself. Carbs need balancing as its running a bit like a dog between idle and 2k rpm. Also need to fix the lacquer on the fairing ( not a big deal though ) will have to grab some better pics
  6. nice, even got the triumph race can by the looks of it sound good at top end lol
  7. The old Honda might be going ( too heavy to pick up if i ever dropped it ) might be getting a 250 supermoto for the worse months.
  8. yup, use the same engine in the 1.6 BMW as in the mini's ( aka 116, 316 etc )
  9. me mum went from a 1 series M sport ( do they even have shocks or just solid metal struts? cause the ride was shit ) to a mini cooper and now shes got a mini coupe awesome little buggy
  10. Yes I had a test ride on a Thruxton. I prefer the cafe racer look of the Thruxton, but as you said I found the riding position too uncomfortable, whereas the Bonnie is nice and relaxed. I will probably cafe racer it up a bit over time. Bought a thruxton a few weeks back, cracking bike, bit more poke than the Bonneville but the position takes a bit of getting used to. They dont half shift though when you wind back that throttle!! you got standard cans still? if you want some others i got a set of Triumph Off Road cans for sale Yours has the 17" wheels front and back, how does that compare to the 19" on the thruxton?
  11. Slice it, take all the pipes out, and put a straight bit of perforated tube/packing inside.
  12. It could also be down to the fact that you automatically accelerate whilst mid/out of a corner?
  13. hehe its a pole-in-a-hole so true though. Thats how schools work as well! support staff do what it says, support the staff by doing all the work!
  14. He must have been a big man fairplay, allthough i only do gym to keep me bulk and fitness You ever heard of someone called Dorian Yates? Apparently its someone in my girlfriends family. Think he was Mr Olympia for a while as well!
  15. Dont forget the tyre will squash down as well which would in theory make it smaller again. which is why the speedo will show roughly the same speed.
  16. Not much if anything at all. I actually tried it before although i tried it with a magnetic speedo, the same theory should apply. the time it takes for the magnet to pass the sensor is the same no matter what angle the wheel is at, no matter how flat the tyre is. With mechanical speedo its (if i remember) a magnet and a aluminium disc. Faster the magnet spins, the more the alu disc is 'dragged' its pretty technical for such a simple thing
