I always measure from the swinger pivot to the wheel spindle. Lasers are a bit fiddly and not infallible , and I do laser alignment on large rotating assemblies in power stations etc but before we put the laser on it we align it with a straight edge and feeler guages

Typical HMG knee jerk reaction to apply what they see as an easy fix to a problem caused by HMG in the first place,They tackle the symptom and not the cause. Well if they hadnt reduced the police force to a bunch of ticket issuing traffic wardens and allowed the courts to dish out such limp penalties for these crimes the perpetrators wouldnt be so keen. I have no problem with the extended licensing hours ( Im a confirmed lager lout myself) making a supermarket charge more wont solve the problem proper enforcement of the licencing laws will. corner shops dont care who they sell it to. if they get caught selling it to under 18's there isnt sufficient deterent to prevent them carrying on here nearly every shop selling food has a liquor license and aint Tysky and Zubr cheap looks like the blackmarket will win again
