  1. never mind m8 was worth a try, perhaps you should be a foreigner you would probably get the full monty.
  2. very unlucky but you have to push the limits to come anywhere near winning.
  3. nice I like a bit of sole yum yum, how big will it get chad.
  4. I was suprised how clean it was when I entered it. he must have had the hosepipe in there
  5. I've been in Dave's passage ooher I hope that's not his back passage sorry dave.
  6. don't forget though you will have to fit new bearings, as you have to take them out cos the curing temp will kill them.
  7. bit different to the old bandit innit m8. the wheels will look nice you can get some great colours in powdercoat now.
  8. piss poor organisation by someone for not testing a new track surface well before the main event. but on the other hand perhaps they should leave the midrace pitstop in from now on as it certainly mixes things up. one thing you can be sure of marquez is not going to hold back on anything next race so expect sparks to be flying
  9. why not slide the forks up thru the yokes a bit to lower the front this will put a bit more weight on the front and it will turn in better. or some old motor magnates are quite heavy and you would not have to bolt them although I would put a bit leccys tape round just in case.
  10. sorry dave bit to far for me and I have to work this sat
  11. was talking to a m8 today and he reckons the best new stuff now is a one piece membrane it looks like I've stopped it leaking for now will see if I can get the winter out of it and get it renewed next spring.
  12. yes it is shit. just about to leave for work this morning I noticed a pool of water on top of the kitchen worktop, fecking felt roof has only started leaking the barsteward . just been up there and cleaned and sealed a few dodgy looking joints see if that stops it until I get it sorted proper. although it has lasted 18 years which is pretty good for a felt roof, I doubt if I can get the old boy who did it again, probably not around anymore bless him he did a good job and blokes like that are hard to find now.
  13. I've got both bikes insured with Bikesure which is part of Adrian Flux who used to insure my classic cars they will even give you a policy with an agreed value if you have a heavily modified bike as long as you have receipts for all your parts and work done. canny price too, mind I am getting on a bit fecking saga sent me an insurance form the other day
  14. nice cheap and easy fix for you there
  15. nice one mike can't beat getting on a track, great fun. you should try the the nighttime rally challenge at teeside autodrome 350 hp subarus in the near dark proper butt clenching but great fun.
  16. I was in the aa for over 10 years m8, and I never used them once, when they started wacking the price up I cancelled them last year fecking greedy barstewards should be giving me a discount. oh and just wait till you fall off, you gonna get some stick
  17. yes m8 there are some decent folk about although I don't know why he still sells petrol as all the little independent garages have shut up shop guese his workshop must carry the place a bit. perhaps people should support the little guy a bit more I know I will try harder now.
  18. just ordered new nut and lock tab from cornwall Kawasaki, and yes m8 they did a recall on them and replaced the locktab with a modified one, although I did reuse the old one when I put a new sprocket on I have done before and never had a problem. I also remember checking this nut after my last ride and it was ok so it must have just went today, mind I was hoofing it a bit
  19. well I think I had someone watching over me today, as I was nearing Whitby I started hearing a noise from the bike when I was coming off the throttle like a gearbox rumbling noise if I pulled the clutch it went off so pulls over has a quick check of bike couldn't see or feel anything loose ,so thought as I was near I would carry on to Whitby and see if it got worse. as I was coming down the bank into Whitby it seemed to be getting slightly worse so has a cuppa and some brain food and I remembered seeing a post on the zzr forum about front sprockets coming loose so sighted along the chain and sure enough if I moved the chain from side to side the front sprocket was also moving. right I never carry tools so I figured I would ride towards home very slowly with no hard acceleration and see if I could find a garage open. eventually after a few nerve jangling miles I pulled into a little village petrol station and the old guy running it kindly lent me a few tools to take off the sprocket cover. ffs the nut and locking washer was nowhere to be seen the rumbling noise was the chain running against the inside of the cover as the sprocket moved out towards the end of the shaft. I thought that's it I'm screwed now no way am I riding the rest of the way home especially as I would have to hit the a19 and did not fancy 30mph on there. but the old guy came to the rescue again with a bucket of old drive shaft nuts I managed to find one the same thread but had to put it on with some locktight as I had no locking washer. after thanking him and leaving some money I set off home taking it very smooth and steady had to stop a few times as my hand was aching like feck off covering the clutch all the time. anyway made it ok and the old guy has restored my faith in the good people of this world,i will have to use his petrol station in future.
