Yamaha XS900 Triple Cafe Racer Build......."SHAFTY"
BanditMike replied to pugeyed's topic in Project section
yeah still a bit sore matey but im still trying to carry on as it would do my head in if i just stopped work on it, cheers dick! I thought you might mate, If you are gonna do stuff, try wrapping tissue around your finger and then insulating tape. It will make it stiff but will stop you bending it and keep it clean, the tissue will allow you to remove the tape easily after working. Gaz That sounds like the voice of experience. Bike looks good, congrats on the progress so far and keep the pics coming Hope the finger heals quickly. -

For those that don't know, I'm now into the fourth year of my five year part-time degree course. I'm working toward a BSc in Commercial Quantity Surveying, basically the bean counter on a construction site I have to start working on my dissertation this year, so given I have to do something related to the construction industry, does anyone on here work in that area? Don't need to know in what capacity you work in, just whether you do. It's going to be so I can send people a questionnaire (one I will be creating), or possibly look for feedback and any thoughts people may have. I know, could be difficult on this forum It probably won't be until next year, but thought I'd try and make a start now. The title of my dissertation is going to be, "Are natural disasters good for the construction industry?".

As has been said above, work, family and friends can be a big draw on time. I'm at work, got a 3yr old daughter then seeing the grandkids (I have two now despite only being 21!?! ) and parents plus friends, time gets very short. Like most I look on when I can and contribute where possible. As Smilinjack said, it can be quiet at times. As long someone's posting the Forum continues. A toast to many more years
