  1. Been busy for the last few weeks. Despite what people think, I am actually a student!? Long hair, discordant attitude, the works!?! (See the picture). So have had the exams for my third year, only 2 more to go . High spot was the chance to meet the one and only "Smokin" Joe Frazier. Got invited to a boxing event at Elland Road (I know, but it was free ), and took the opportunity for a photograph and autograph. The guy has still got a hell of a grip and is strong enough to pull me out of my seat!? (Still can't embed these images, so to Photobucket!) Me and "Joe"
  2. "Testiculating" and "Blamestorming" seem to be the top two at my place of forced work
  3. This one Cracking picture! Respect for the camera man, and best wishes to the rider. Guy Martin is either a very good rider, an idiot, or a combination of both My Dad told me a story of a lad on the practice on the TT, or the open lap. Takes a corner at about 160mph and feels something on his shoulder. Takes a brief look, Guy Martin inside him has tapped his shoulder and is in the process of going past him on the inside . Might be the "urban legend" I don't know.
  4. Could be one way to make sure everything works properly
  5. Similar thing for me, when I was a little younger . Putting my Mam and Dad on my car insurance used to save me about £50 Could never figure that one out either??????
  6. Sorry to hear about what happened. Just to repeat previous, glad you're okay, bikes can be replaced! Welcome to the forum . Sounds like you know few already so I don't need to warn you For me, just to be different, always like the look of the Aprilla
  7. Congrats on the pics mate. The second lot ae no different to the professional sports pics. Impressive
  8. Possibly not, I think she'd be too tired
  9. Welcome to the forum . There's plenty to choose from so always something to be doing
  10. Very nice mate . Always wanted to ride one to see what they're like. Looks like you tried it and it was good . Hope the weather holds and you can enjoy properly
  11. Cracking looking bike . All previous points are valid. I've taken a different route with mine, but each to their own. Whtever you do, enjoy the bike
  12. http://www.campbellcustom.co.uk/Hyabusa.htm What do you think of these "a bit different" IMO as everone seems to go down the Yoshimura route with the Busas' Very nice bike , and I would definitely go for the cans, if you can get them past the good lady. Could be dangerous though
  13. Just read this. Like most I can't believe that this guy is still driving (assuming it is a man ) with 39 points on his licence. How many cases of "exceptional hardship" can you come up with? If losing your licence would cost you your job, don't speed and maintain your vehicle at the required legal levels!! Don't complain when you get caught, then ask the legal system to "look after you" and be kind. If you can't look after yourself, why should anyone else? There's too much of the "well if you do that so and so will suffer". In that case you should have thought of that before you did it!
  14. welcome . But there are also some not so "sound" I think it's the maroon bandit owners club Enjoy the forum
  15. Had a run out with a few lads from work on Sunday. Did a circuit from Newcastle, Northumberland and Borders. Good weather, good run out, plenty of tea ! Perfect day. Few pics of the bikes we used and some we saw. Most of the stops were in towns/ villages so no scenery shots . Did pass some good stuff though! Sunday 01-05-2011
  16. Congrats on the prgress to date, and respect for the patience . Don't forget the pics once all finished
  17. Have to agree. I think the plaudits for Henry speak for themselves and the respect from Ali himself should be an indication of the regard in which Henry was held. Mr McGuigans comment of "I was a good friend of his wife and Henry", surely that would have been for Henry to decide? I'm not mentioning the other in the same post as Henry except to say
  18. Brave guy, making comments like "forgot she was on the back" in public view for all to read . I've had the front end of mine off the ground once or twice, all by accident . The eldest tends to pull away on hsis VTR on one wheel, benefits of youth
  19. No prob. Will keep you posted.
  20. I work for a French company, but have managed to get confirmation that we're off . Got some exams coming up, so will have to put some revision time in . However, out on the bike for a bridge run with a local bike club on Saturday , then out Sunday with some lads from work for a ride out . Probably north to Northumberland, Borders, Cumbria. If anyone does fancy it, let me know and will arrange a place to meet. The son is in York on Saturday getting so, sensibly, he's not out on Sunday
  21. Very tidy bike, and for that cash an absolute bargain . What is it with the maroon (mines candy red ) bandits? Mind you, might explain why my hair is somewhat thinner than it was some years ago
  22. The bike for sale isn't my maroon (read Candy red!? ) B12, it's my Dads. Brown and well polished. If you're interested I'll see if he will come down?
  23. welcome to Daves (Unofficial Suzuki Bandit) Forum There's a few of us on here so you're amongst many who understand. If you're out and about let me know. I'm out most Sundays with My Dad and my son, so could meet up.
  24. Nice look, good clean lines And of course it's a Bandit
