Range Rover Runs Over Bikers in NYC, 1 dead
BanditMike replied to Davehutch-hutchs's topic in Pics & vids of Bikes
Just read bits of this and am trying to figure out exactly what happened. If the "first story" is true, then I can understand what and why they did what they did. Doesn't make it right but if some 4x4 ran over someone I was out with, I'd be after it like a shot. Based on the "second story", the guy brake checks a 4x4, gets hit and comes off, then his mates surround the 4x4. Guy shouldn't be such a f g p k !! From the drivers perspective, if I was in a car with a gang around me and I had my wife and baby in the car, I'd probably want to be out of the way. Again, doesn't excuse what he did, but again I can see why. Based on what I've read it's created a lot of intense and strong emotions in the US as well as here. The ignition point seems to be the guy brake checking the 4x4, but it's not clear whether he was knocked off or the 4x4 only nudged his bike. Think I will try and follow this and see where it goes. -

Agree with Matt. I had the Bandit 1200, cracking bike, for over 2 years and fancied a change. Ended up with the ZX almost by accident, and love it It does everything I need, it munches miles and will fly if I need it to But with both bikes, as Matt says, most of the power is low down the revs. I rode the sons R1, massively quick bike, but all the power is high up the rev range, which isn't how I ride. In essence I'm saying, as is Tony, choose a bike that suits your riding style, or you'll have to adapt your style to the bike you choose. With the ZX, I can rev it high and it flies, but there's enough torque so I generally stay around 7k and it does exactly what I need, same as the Bandit did.

After a good and relaxing week away in Herefordshire. Took a bit of time to get a new tattoo, courtesy of Nina (thanks once more ) and basically had a lazy week away from everything and everyone. Bumped into a few people while down there and had a good time with Stue, Kayley, Pike and Nina. Thanks from us all for a cracking time Called in to see Dave on the way back. Watching a man desperately waiting for a Sky Van to appear In the end I did the decent thing and left so that the Sky man had no distractions Will put a picture of the tattoo in the relevant section later on. Angela still sleeping and I can't get a decent picture of it myself

For this year, I'll call Saturday 23rd November as the date, the venue is York. (For those who saw this earlier, yes the date has changed. I'm organising this and had double booked myself ) The York Central Travelodge looks to be about £113 for the night. Sounds a lot, but it looks to be the most central place for us to stay. Given my lack of knowledge of the area, I'll accept any other thoughts? Travelodge Tadcaster is only £54, but is 6m away. Taxi? It's only about 8 weeks away, so I think it's time to start booking!! Peoples thoughts?
