I will be praying for you Destine! Your mom is very blessed to have you as a daughter! What a blessing that you help out so much! Even if it may seem like she doesn't notice as much as she should, please keep in mind that God still sees. He will honor you as you continue to obey your mom while you are under her care (even if you dont agree with the things she may ask you to do, or not to do). I am a mother myself, and I know I fall short and miss the mark. I also know that my heart towards my children is always in their best interest and motivated by love...even if I go about something in the wrong way. Im not by any means saying that you're wrong, or your mom is wrong. I also want you to know that I remember being 16 and wanting to make my own decisions. Don't worry, the time for you to totally spread your wings is sure to come. I just want to encourage you that as you continue to honor your mom, God will NOT overlook it, and He will in turn honor you! Keep your heart set upon Him, and great things are sure to come to pass! P.S. I also want to add that even though your mom may not be perfect, you are also very blessed to have a mom who has raised you to love the Lord! I would have loved to be able to grow up in the church as a kid! This is all just a preparation for you Destine, and God for sure has wonderful things in store for you!

Hi Halva~Well first off, I believe that anything that brings fear would be of the enemy and not of God. These are my thoughts on this subject. Sometimes God does give us warning dreams though, this is for our own good, not to produce fear. I had this question as well. I either read one of mia's teachings on the site, or she replied to one of my dreams stating the answer to this. The dreams that are from God with a message from Him are obvious, the ones right off the bat that you know God is speaking a message to you through without a doubt. The other dreams that you are not so sure about, that are full of symbols are more of a lesson of training for you to know the symbols specifically for your own dreams (everyones are unique)...so that when you do have a 'Message from God' dream, you get the full message intended from him. Does that make sense??? Did I explain it well enough?

Hi Lara! These are my thoughts exactly! God is the one who made us with an imagination. Think of what a vivid imagination He had to create the heavens and the earth! You are made in His image. I will be praying that the Lord will help you to keep this pass-time (or even a possible gifting) within a healthy balance.

Thanks astra! I have an update on this. Him and my step-mom are both on the patch to help them quit smoking. My step-mom had to stop taking her anti-anxiety pills in order to do this. So please continue to pray for them to be able to stay strong and both quit. In the past my dad has quit for even up to a whole year or longer...the problem is that if one of them starts back up bc of stress, it ends up tempting the other to fall into smoking again. The tests came back good on his heart. Him not being able to breathe had nothing to do with his heart, its strictly from being a heavy smoker for more than 40 years~his emphysema has progressed pretty bad. He was one point away from having to be put on oxygen. If he quits now it will stop it from progressing further. The Dr. told him if he quit smoking, he could live for the next two years instead of being lucky to live for less than 1 year. We all know the Great Physician is able to heal him completely or even lengthen his time here. Please continue to join in prayer for me concerning this. Thank you so much!

Please join in prayer for my dad. He is in the hospital for observation due to not being able to breathe. They are also running test on his heart, to make sure this has nothing to do with this. He has pretty severe emphazema (sp.), and has yet to quit smoking full (though he has been trying). He is also in a lot of pain due to back injuries, working a life of hard labor, and surgery. Please pray more than anything, that he will accept Jesus as His Lord and Savior before anything happens to him. Please pray God would soften his heart enough to receive Him. He has had a very rough and negative life...and has been turned off to Christianity after some abuse suffered under the leadership of a very legalistic church as a child. Thank you faithful brothers and sisters for agreeing with me in prayer! What a wonderful support this site has been to me.
